Today was the day. It was the day that he would finally get to visit and explore the University in the city. There was a sort of excitement bubbling inside of him because when he used to live in Athens Herakles had this tendency of sneaking into random classes when he had nothing better to do. He always enjoyed learning and what better way than to sit into a class and soak in what the professor had to say. Of course, eventually the University found out and weren’t to please with this but upon realizing who his mother was they decided they could let it slip. Unfortunately, Herakles didn’t have his mother here to bail him out of sticky situations that could arise with this University. But on a lighter note, he had really just come to see if there were any jobs available and to get out of the house.
The school was packed with busy bodies of students. He should have expected that considering the time of day but that hadn’t crossed his mind when he had woken up this afternoon. Herakles languidly stepped behind a crowd of students shuffling in an unknown direction and decided that it couldn’t hurt to follow them. He wasn’t in a rush and usually this was the best way to get to know a new university campus.
As he followed behind them he noticed the many towering white pillars and vast amount of space that would have never been found at the University of Athens. It was a gorgeous campus and one, Herakles realised, he wouldn’t mind working at. In his distraction Herakles had lost the group of students he had been following and also realized that he was left mostly alone in the hallways. Overhead, hung a sign which read Faculty of Classics and History. Green eyes light up and the Greek didn’t hesitate to press forward. There had to be some sort of bulletin board hiding around here. And, if the bulletin board didn’t help there was sure to be an office not too far behind.
