WHO: Gupta, Elizaveta, Sadiq, (and maybe Alfred?)
WHEN: Saturday, September 18th, Evening
WHERE: Outside of Gupta's house
WHAT: Gupta wants to go out more. He does this by going with the wrong people to the wrong place at the wrong time.
(
Oh, Gupta. You should really get some normal friends. )
Closing the door behind Liz, Gupta looked down at himself, dressed in (what he considered) a plain pair of pants and a T-shirt that looked a bit too large for him (probably given out by the university). "What... exactly should I wear to this... 'bar'?" He didn't show it on his otherwise passive face, but he was a bit nervous. He didn't know that asking about such a bar would illicit such strong responses from so many people and prompt his mother to buy him a taser, of all things.

Looking him over once, she bit her lip. "Well, let me have a look at your closet first. You're a bit too casual, and you look kind of underage. Don't worry, I'll find you something." She looked out the window and frowned. God only knew what Sadiq would show up wearing.

Blinking, Gupta took the offered items and silently shuffled to the bathroom to change. When he stepped out, he looked at himself with a little bit of surprise. He wore dark skinny jeans with a partially-opened white shirt and a black vest. The outfit wasn't over-the-top, but there was something playful and mature about it as well.
Looking up at the girl, Gupta nodded. "I like it," he said, admiring himself in the mirror. He didn't wear a vest often because he thought they were too easily dirtied at school, but this particular one did a great job of hugging to his tin waist and his lean back. "This is not too... formal?" he asked Liz over his shoulder.

"Oh my god," she paused in her thinking as Gupta came out. "It's just what I imagined. You look amazing, Gupta! These kinds of clothes really suit you." Looking him over, she nodded and grinned. "Yes, you look fine. Not too formal indeed."
Slowly walking towards him, she patted him on the head fondly. "Now, explain to me why you have make-up in your room." Looking closer, she saw two tiny holes in each of his ears. She tried not to squeal. This was better than playing dress-up with toys.

"I learned from my mother," he says simply, without shame. He watched her carefully though, as if afraid that he had broken some rule. "Wearing makeup is... a very old Egyptian tradition."

Inspecting him, she tilted her head. "Let me see..." using one hand to close the shirt collar, she frowned. "You can close more buttons if you'd like, but not all the way up. Right now you're maybe a bit too exposed, but if you close up too many you'll look like a prude."
Nodding at her judgement, she patted the vanity fondly. "It's going to be a fun night, I can tell."

Blinking in surprise as she happily surveys the rest of his vanity, the Egyptian gave a tiny smile. "I hope so." He gestures to his eyelids. "What color should I use?"

She looked at him, and then back at the vanity. "Dark-ish blue."

Not commenting on the matter any further, he sat at the vanity (feeling rather like a puppy obeying a master's command) and picked up a dark, rich blue with a brilliant shine to it. He applied it expertly with the skill of any girl, and by the time he was done, he had a smokey, winged halo around his brilliant gold eyes. He nodded, pleased with the color. "Is this okay?"

Watching in amazement, Elizaveta could only sigh. Even a boy was better at make-up than her. What was the world coming to? "It looks gorgeous, dear. Why don't you fill in whatever else that you think you'll need? I'm not nearly as good with all that shadowing stuff as you are."
(ooc: Shall we bring in Sadiq now~?)

He silently did as he was told, expertly lining his eyes with gold eyeliner and winging out the sides in the classically Egyptian way. On other people, this sort of get up would look ridiculous, but with his tanned skin and catlike eyes, Gupta seemed very comfortable with such heavy makeup on. He smiled up at Liz once he was done. "When will Sadiq come?"

However, all good things had to come to an end. And she knew this was that moment when she heard the faint knocking. She tried not to visibly deflate. "Well... I guess we can't all get what we want, hm?" She smiled to Gupta and walked out of the room and towards the front door. Without bothering to ask if it was okay to open it, she unlocked the various locks and opened it just enough to peer out. She gaped.
"Sadiq? What the hell are you wearing?" It killed her to admit it, but she grudgingly looked him up and down and said, "You look... good."
(ooc: Posting order = Gupta, Sadiq, Elizaveta?)

Peeking over Liz's shoulder, Gupta lit up at the sight of Sadiq. He had gotten all dressed-up too, and looked incredibly different from the casual mess that he normally was. "Welcome," he greeted politely, confused by Liz's question and sudden compliment. "You look very handsome," he added, meaning it.
Pulling the door open to let the other man in, the Arab clasped the other's hand and stood on tip-toe to kiss the other's cheeks gently. The traditional greeting was more formal than normal, but then again, Gupta was usually painfully shy and polite around strangers.
