WHO: Matthew and Emiliana
WHEN: Friday afternoon, September 3rd
WHERE: The Charleston, Emi's place
WHAT: In which Emi must teach Matt that pancakes on a daily basis and putting maple syrup on everything are not, to his horror, the best of dietary decisions.
Leaving Loto alone had been one of the hardest things Emi ever had to do.
Literally.
Having been so distracted with her own personal issues and having to take care of Loto (as a result of John leaving), had led to Emi almost forgetting the meet-up she had promised Matthew some time ago. Of course, her telling Loto that she had to step out for a few hours to meet a friend had instantly resulted in body-wracking sobs, stuttered accusations that she was just going to leave for good, and a too-tall, awkward teenager with a surprisingly strong grip.
It had taken a while, but Emi had managed to calm the poor teen down by promising (for the umpteenth time) that she would, indeed, be back in two or three hours. However, the fact that she had left Loto napping (under the table to boot) made her feel oddly like a mother that just had to deal with her young child throwing a tantrum at finding out that he was being left behind at a daycare sans his guardian.
What the hell.
Shaking that thought away, Emi focused on the matter at hand.
Somehow, somehow, her lunch date with Matthew had transformed itself into a cooking lesson of sorts. Granted, it probably had more to do with the fact that, as they were chatting, Emi had found out about the blond's...peculiar dietary habits. So, after some minor manhandling, the pair currently found themselves attempting to make an easy pasta dish. Something simple and not too elaborate for the time being.
Of course, Matthew just had to make it difficult by asking if he'd be allowed to soak the pasta in maple syrup.
"W-What? N-No! You're not supposed to do that at all!"
