Here too! Go Away!

Who: Heracles and Sadiq
When: Monday, July 5th
Where: Eurasian Good Store
What: A shopping trip gone wrong.
It was fairly early when Heracles had jolted awake because of a forbidding feeling that manifested itself in his gut. He glanced at his only cloak in his house and noticed that it was barely nine o’clock. That was not right. A hand combed back his hair in frustration but no matter how hard he tried sleep was not found. Heracles tossed and turned trying to catch at least one more hour of sleep but his mind was much too restless and still nothing. It didn’t take much more for him to roll out of bed and trudge to the bathroom to shower up. There were many things he needed to do today like for one going grocery shopping for at least the essentials. He had been living off of virtually nothing and it wasn’t that he didn’t have money or anything it was more the fact that he had been really lazy (and his back had still been hurting thanks to an uneducated and unmannered sad excuse for a human being).

A couple hours later he was out the door and walking at a leisurely pace down his neighbourhood admiring the simplicity of it all. There was nothing extravagant but there was a charm about the place. Heracles even noticed that the weather was just right. The sky was littered with a good ratio of white clouds and not a single storm cloud in sight. Even the breeze was just right; gently blowing the hair from his face and cooling him down. He felt at ease.

It didn’t take much longer for him to come upon an interesting grocery store that caught his attention. At the front it read Eurasian Good Store and it wasn’t a huge supermarket that he had heard America was famous for but a quaint sized store. Very Eurasian. Heracles stood in front of it examining the different types of meat that decorated the window and the list of other things that was painted on the window. Perhaps he’d be able to find all the ingredients to make Moussaka.

Heracles was quick to enter through the door and noticed how a small bell alerted the store attendants of his presences and that was when he saw him. Green eyes hardened and he had half a mind to just turn around and leave but a certain pastry caught his attention. One that he had not had ever since moving to America and something that he’d love to sink his teeth in. His eyes drifted back the Turkish man. Maybe if he pretended that he didn’t see him he could still look around and ultimately ignore him. Yeah, that was a good idea...but first he needed to get away from the door.

Heracles pivoted on his heel and escaped into one of the aisles glancing over some of the products to keep an eye on the stupid Turk. Oh! Olive Oil! The Greek took hold of the bottle examining the label and letting out a hum of approval at discovering it was imported from Greece. Glancing at the refrigerated products down the aisle he was astonished to find a wide selection of cheese from feta to mizithra. This grocery store was perfect...well, except for one very detrimental aspect...the sales clerk. Hopefully the man would not notice him at all.

greece, turkey, status: complete, dude likes cats... a lot
