They said there was a first time for everything. Now, Natalia didn’t know who they were (if she did, they would learn the lesson of not talking about her via vivisection) but even she conceded that this was true.

This happened to be the first time she was in a proper hospital. Though Natalia could not remember how she got to this Florence Memorial Hospital or half of the time she spent here. All she could recall was the fierce need to cut off a couple of fingers and slit a few stomachs and watch them slowly bleed to death if they made interesting sounds. Which wasn’t exactly out of the norm for her, but the fuzzy filter that colored her vision and slowed down her reaction time was.

Good thing the people in matching pastel outfits were still slow enough at her sluggish. Despite the needle they had pointed at her, and the even smaller one already embedded in the junction between her upper arm and forearm, they were no match for her when she woke up.

Hell hath no fury like a drugged up woman who lost her prey and her knife.

After disposing of pastel person #1 through #26, she had almost found the escape to the labyrinth of white-washed walls. That is, until the cowardly pastel ублюдки had caught up with her with a couple dozen purples, blues and pinks as back up, and strong-armed her to the the ground before sticking her with another one of those irritating needles. Though she had fought violently against the blurry sensation, it had eventually overtaken her.

When she woke up, she was on a bed again - this time with leather restraints keeping her arms and legs in place. And by the murderous yet familiar scream she heard moments later, she had a new roommate too.

If there wasn’t enough drugs pumping through her veins to put a dog down, Natalia might have reciprocated the sentiment in turn, as she gradually realized the noisy сука was the same сука from before. But the pastel people had apparently wised up and figured out the best way for all of the staff to survive and not break the Hippocratic Oath by throwing out a patient who needed medical attention was to keep her heavily sedated at all times. So in the face of the сука trying to claw her way over here through a peach and a green, Natalia simply lied back and explicitly described what she would do to the сука when the time came for her restraints to be loosened.

It might have been the sedative’s influence, but Natalia found the entire event to be almost enjoyable.

Even later when the cries of a soon to be murder victim - that were surprisingly not due to Natalia’s actions - captured their focus and miraculously kept Natalia’s attention long after they panned away from the bloody murder scene.

These...television novels were somewhat interesting.

“Why does she not cut this woman down and claim him for her own?” Natalia spoke up, one of many questions she had about this Sofia and her incomprehensible actions towards seeing the one she loved with another woman. Natalia would have cut one or both of their tongues out by now.

"If she did that, the show would finish way too early," Emiliana responded, not bothering to glance at the other woman. "Anyway, wouldn't that be too easy? And messy? And-oh, guess Josefina went with poisoning Yessica's food rather than shoving her down the stairs."

One dramatic inner monologue later and Emi was reclining back against her too-small pillow as the novela faded into commercials. The earlier drowsiness from the drugs had long since faded, leaving her with nothing more than a horrible headache and and irritating soreness. Maybe she could ask one of the nurses for something not as strong - she really didn't need to miss anymore of this novela. W-What if Sofía finally confessed to Miguel?!

Finger pressed against the 'call' button beside her bed, Emi spared a wary glance toward Natalia as a male nurse in blue scrubs waltzed in with a small cup of water and two pills. Maybe they wouldn't be as stro-ah, no. Head falling back with a soft thump, Emi vaguely heard the nurse say something about a "doctor."

Wait. What? Doctor? For what?

"Sofía, te tengo que decir..."

Oh well. The novela was back on.

"Huh, looks like Miguel's cousin isn't just a minor character," she muttered.
