Seattle Maybe? Candy Wrapper Scarf

Feb 23, 2007 21:11

Hi All! Happy Friday to ya.
Today turned out to be another beautiful day outside. Those BIG puffy clouds were back...and it actually got pretty warm outside. I went to lunch with a co-worker today that used to live in Washington state. She relocated here about 3 years ago (here being California)

We had a nice lunch chit chatting about the places and sites to see in WA. I told her my Brother-In-Law lived there and that we try and go up to see him yearly. Anyway, long story short, she told me a few fun side trips to try out and places to go--if we decide to go in June or July. One was to take the Argosy Cruise ship around Seattle. (http://www.argosycruises.com/publiccruises/lakeSeattle.cfm)

Here's a picture I took a couple years ago of the very Argosy boat...see it? Its the big white on on the left.

I thought that was a GREAT idea! (Not sure Kip will like it...very touristy) lol!!!
but once he's on the boat I think he'd have a fun time. Especially if the weather is nice.

I wanted to show you this little summer scarf I made last night. It only took a few hours because I used size 15 needles (they were like knitting big wooden logs!--lol) Anyway, I found this fun lightweight yarn that reminded me of candy wrappers. It's called Pelican, made by Dalegarn of Norway.

I hung one of my larger watercolors the other day in the den, after I finished moving the bookcase into the same room. It's nice to see it hanging on the wall, vs. being propped up with a bunch of others in the dark hallway. ((it's still available for sale...hint, hint ;) ))

I plan to do more art studio cleanup and arranging this weekend :) I'm excited to get things cleared out and organized...I have WAAAY too much stuff. aughhhhhhhh....

Well, I better go. My back and legs get in knots if I sit in front of the computer for too long.

Have a great night all!
Lo**
