Sandwich Recreation & More Knitting

Hi All,

I am sitting here at my desk eating lunch. Over the weekend while shopping, I got one of my favorite sandwiches from a gourmet food/lunch shop "David Berkley's. They call it a "Mendocino Masterpiece" (because it has Mendocino Sweet/Spicy Mustard on it.) http://www.mendocinomustard.com/

Here's how BIG it was! I could only eat half. It's smoked turkey, sprouts, munster cheese(?) and then that mustard I mentioned above as well as some mayo on your choice of bread. I picked sourdough. (I don't like tomato - otherwise it would have a slice of fresh tomato on it also) It sounds like your typical sandwich right? But that combination of the spicy and sweet mustard with the smoked turkey and crunchy fresh sprouts...it's just great!

Last night I recreated the sandwich for Kip's dinner and he said it tasted great, but I didn't like how thick the turkey was or that it didn't have a very smokey flavor. I like the thin cut deli style turkey much better. (K, that was a yawner topic huh?)

I am almost done with my Brother-In-Law's knitted scarf AND I am almost done with this one that Kip has claimed as his. I hope I can block out the curvy edges.

I will temporarily be switching from all the earth tone tweedy yarns and make something with this color stuff. I tried the circular knitting needles the other night. I goofed up on the first try...but got the hang of it on the second. (well, kinda) I don't think I casted on enough stitches. So this cowl neck scarf I was trying to make, will be more like a sweater for a large snake. :(

Other stuff:
Check out my hair! See??? it's filling in a lot more and I can actually see a little red cast from the auburn henna I used on it last weekend. (ok, so it's mainly on my grey splotches) but it's still looking better than it did a month ago. So by next year it might be ummmm...5 or so inches long? Maybe? My eyelashes and eyebrows have finally come back!

well, I guess I will finish lunch now.

See ya,
Lo**
