Title: Do you hate me? Chapter 2
Pairings: Ryoda, MaruDa and JinDa friendship
Characters: Ryo, Ueda, Jin, Maru
Summary: Ueda decided not to talk again after his incident with Ryo

Rain was pouring non-stop outside, with the company of thunder and lightning alongside. The sounds of rain tapping on the windows and roof and the yells of lightning rippled threw the whole area. The scene of Ueda curled up in a ball on the middle of the deserted street, trembling, looked more depressing with all those rain and thunder as decorations. The sounds of Ueda’s sobs can still be heard despite the roaring of the thunder going on. The rain that fell on Ueda’s face had merged with his hot tears. Ueda had stayed curled up in a ball the whole rainy night. The thought of Ryo’s smirk after the kiss kept on coming back and appear in Ueda’s mind, haunting him to keep on crying.

It was 3:30 in the morning, and Maru was sleeping peacefully when his doorbell woke him up. He grunted, and reluctantly got out of his comforting sheets of blanket and went to answer the door. The he opened his door, Maru’s sleepy eyes shot wide open, his sense of sleepiness went straight out of the window, and his jaw dropped on the ground. A crying Ueda was wet from head to toe was standing in front of him, looking weak and helpless. After a few seconds of shock, he hurried Ueda in his safe warm house, and settled Ueda on his couch.

Maru had shoved Ueda a set of dry clothes before handing him a towel. Maru observed Ueda as he accepted his offer and went to the bathroom. Ueda was completely wet and trembling. He was only wearing a thin T-shirt with a pair of jeans on. His long, beautiful hair was dripping water at the ends, and his face was pale white. Most importantly, Ueda looked hurt. His eyes were filled with agony and pain, with a pinch of what seemed like relinquish.

When Ueda came out, dressing in dry clothes, Maru handed Ueda a cup of hot tea, and settled him once again on the couch. Ueda nodded as he took the cup of tea from Maru. After Ueda took a couple of slips from his tea, Maru decided to ask, “Ueda… What happened?” Maru chose a careful tone to ask his question, but he soon realized that not asking anything was the best option. Tears begin dripping from Ueda’s soulless eyes again, sending Ueda’s body trembling again. Maru immediately took Ueda in his arms, and patted him on the back. “It’s okay…” Ueda continued his sobbing, refusing to say anything. After an hour of crying, Ueda finally lost all his strength and blacked out. Maru immediately checked Ueda’s temperature, founding out that Ueda had caught himself a high fever. Maru panicked, but still managed to get Ueda safe under covers, with a cold wet towel on his forehead.

When Maru walked in with his change of wet towel, he found Ueda mumbling something. “Uhnnnn…Please…. Don’t h-hate…me…. Ryo…P-please…” Tears dripped down Ueda’s cheek, and he was trembling again. Maru quickly changed the towel on Ueda’s head, and clutched on to Ueda’s hand firmly. “It’s okay… Everything’s fine…” Maru worded out the lie as comforting as he could, while brushing away Ueda’s tears. Moments later, Ueda seemed to have calmed down, and drifted into sleep again.

Maru walked out the door, closing it soundlessly. As he sat down on the couch, his eyes were burning of anger and murder. “THAT BASTARD IS SO DEAD!!” That very though occupied Maru’s mind all night, along with the thought, “JIN AND I ARE GONNA SO KILL HIM TOMORROW!”

When Ueda woke up the next morning, it was already 10:30. He blinked a few times, collecting the memories that vagued on him. He remember Ryo’s smirk after their kiss, and a sense of sickness twisted inside his stomach as he tried to push away that thought. He then realized that he was in Maru’s house. Ueda slowly pushed his hands on the bed, supporting him to sit up on the bed. He glanced over at the clock, and realized that he was late for work. At that time, he didn’t care. He didn’t care anymore. He didn’t want to go anyway, especially where Ryo was. Ueda then found the note that Maru had left.

Tat-chan,

I’m probably gone when you wake up. The fever medicine is beside the alarm clock, and you better eat it. You have to eat it three times a day, so remember! I called in sick for you today and tomorrow, so don’t worry about work. Jin will come after work too to check up on you. I made some food for you; they’re on the kitchen counter. You can only eat that if you’re hungry. Oh, and please don’t go anywhere, or you’ll get sicker.

Maru

Ueda was grateful for having Maru as a friend. He couldn’t thank Jin and Maru enough or what they have done for him. Ueda decided not to speak to anyone anymore. He had decided that he’d only sing when he had to (after all, he is a singer). He would only express a little of what he feels to Jin and Maru only. This was the only thing he could do to avoid getting hurt again. The only option left for him before he would decide to run away. He didn’t want to leave Jin and Maru, which was why Ueda decided not to talk ever again.

Ryo paced back and forth down KAT-TUN’s corridor anxiously, while sending off a “Don’t talk to me” look. He was waiting for Ueda. He had regretted what he had done the night before, and wanted to make it up for Ueda. He wanted to know if Ueda was okay, he waned to tell Ueda that he would listen to him about what happened with Tatsuko. Most importantly, he wanted Ueda to know that he still cared for him.

“Nishikido kun, I need to talk to you.” Maru stepped in front of Ryo, insisting that that was not a request. Ryo wanted to protest, but Maru interrupted him before he could word out anything. “It’s about Tat-chan.” That fact alone shut Ryo up. Ryo followed Maru to a deserted room. “Ueda went up to my house at 3:30 in the morning, all wet and crying.” Maru crossed his arms in front of his chest. “It took a while for him to calm down, but he developed a high fever. When he was sleeping, he kept on mumbling your name and tears would fall down his face, even in his sleep.” Maru tried hard to resist punching Ryo in the face and beating him up senseless at thought of Ueda crying because of Ryo. “Ueda would talk. He wouldn’t speak to anyone.”

Ryo’s feet were stuck on the ground, and his face went pale. He didn’t want it to come like this. He didn’t think that Ueda would be so sensitive. He didn’t think that the consequence would be that big. “W-where is he? Is he okay?” Ryo managed to word out his questions.

Maru cocked up an eyebrow and asked furiously, “Why do you want to know? So you can hurt him again?” Maru grabbed Ryo’s collar and glared at him furiously. “If you try to hurt Ueda or even talk him again, I swear I’ll kill you.” MaruF let go of Ryo’s collar and walked out of the room, refusing to share another minute with Ryo.

Ryo slumped on the ground, with his eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. “No…Ueda…No…” Ryo said blankly as he sat on the ground soullessly. He was defeated. He didn’t know what to do. He wanted to see Ueda. He wanted to apologize. For some reason, Ryo found himself wanting to pull Ueda into his arms and comfort him. He wanted to wipe away all of Ueda’s tears and take away all his fears. He wanted Ueda. He knew now that he loved Ueda. He loved the man that he had hurt countless times. He wanted to see Ueda right now, but he know Maru and Jin won’t let him, so he had to wait until Ueda comes back to work.

Later that day, Jin had gone to Maru’s house to check up on Ueda. He knew what happened from Maru, and they also shared the same thought, “NISHIKIDO RYO IS DEAD!”

Jin walked in the room with Maru beside him. He settled himself sitting beside the sleeping Ueda on the bed. Jin gently caressed Ueda’s cheeks and stroked Ueda’s beautiful dark hair. They stayed like that for a while, just looking at Ueda in silence. Finally, Ueda opened his eyes and found Jin shooting worried looks at him. “Are you okay, Uebo?” Jin asked worriedly as he helped Ueda sit up the bed. Ueda just smiled and nodded towards Jin and Maru. Moments passed by, and Jin seemed to understand what Ueda wanted. “You don’t have to talk if you don’t want to, we understand.” Jin smiled at Ueda and patted him on the head. Ueda was surprised at how Jin was so smart this time as to understand what he wanted without even telling him so. Ueda grinned gracefully at Jin and nodded. Jin then took Ueda into a friendly hug and said, “Just don’t worry me and Maru, kay? We’re your friends, and we’ll support you no matter what you do.” Jin gently slides his hand back and forth on Ueda’s back, as if he was comforting a child.

Days would pass by, and Ueda still hasn’t come back to work yet. Everyday, Ryo will text message Jin and Maru (Ueda’s cell phone is off all the time when he was sick) asking if Ueda is okay, when will he come back to work. Although Ryo was trying his best to convince Maru and Jin to let him see Ueda, he would fail miserably, and neither Maru nor Jin will return any of his text messages.

To be continued…
