For months and months, I had no intention of getting the Nintendo 3DS on launch day. The system itself was okay, but the launch games just weren't doing it for me, and a console is only as good as the games it can play. So ever since the launch lineup for the 3DS was revealed, I convinced myself that I didn't even care about the 3DS. In all honesty, I was pretty uncaring about the fact that the 3DS was going to be released today all throughout yesterday.
But then I still ended up getting a 3DS. I did my daily routine of checking out the forums in the morning, and the various comments of people who bought pretty much convinced me to get it right then and there. They didn't really motivate or excite me or anything, I just suddenly decided to might as well get it. It's pretty funny, considering this is the very first system that I've purchased on launch day, and I wasn't really even hyped about it until the day it finally came out. Funny how the world works sometimes.
It's inevitable that I'm going to get a 3DS someday, so I figured I might as well get it now when Gamestop was doing some trade-in deals. Just the fact that I was able to trade in my DSi with the busted shoulder button and save $75 on it already made it worthwhile. As for the 3DS, a few minutes of messing around with it has told me that it's okay. The 3D is pretty cool, but it kind of hurts my eyes if I stare too long, so I keep it off a majority of the time. Toys R' Us is having a deal on 3DS games right now, so I may buy two despite not really being interested in any of them.
Super Street Fighter and Monkey Ball, or maybe even some Rayman.
Also the analog stick is awesome. It's much better than the shitty PSP analog stick).
