Almost, wow, a month ago now I was browsing Flickr for some mod outfits because I am much more familiar with the '70's style than with mod.
I think the easiest way to keep the "mod" aspect on a lolita outfit is to take inspiration directly from an existing ensemble and then modify the shape to conform to the lolita silhouette.
Once I get more familiar with the mod aesthetic I will break away from "lifting" so much directly, but I really like a lot of the Flickr pictures I found!

Sorry about the terrible quality of my sketch, I don't have a scanner at college so I tried to take a decent photo but the shading didn't. Also, this is one of the first drawings for fun I have done in a long time so it is not that good...but I can draw hands actually...unfortunately I can't think of poses for croquis-type figures that show a good view of the outfit without the skirt blocking the hands o_o
I don't know if it actually ended up looking all that mod now though. What do you think?
