Hi everyone,
Things are going well. I've recently decided to be more social. I'm planning a bowling party for this Friday. Danny's coming up and I'm excited about that.
I dropped my history class (after the last drop date) and so I had to pay $1400 for it anyway. I could go into all the reasons why that's unfair, but I don't really feel like talking about it anymore. At least I've decided that I don't ever want to be in a Ph.D. program...I doubt it would truly benefit me professionally, as I am not all that committed to a life as a researcher. I'm still interested in research and academia, but not to the exclusion of other career options.
I've been looking at the final field placements that the other MSSW students get to choose from. I've been sulking because I'm not particularly looking forward to being a case manager at CPS, mostly because I'm afraid that I'll be horrible at it. I'm kind of envious of my classmates. If I weren't doing CPS, I could have gone abroad or worked in mental health counseling at a hospital. But on the other hand, I'll have a guaranteed job with a competitive salary (for social work) in addition to being $15,000 less than I otherwise would be. I can't complain.
I am currently without car insurance. I HATE FRED LOYA INSURANCE. Very soon, I will write a letter telling them that I'll never do business with them again, no matter how competitive their prices are. I could write an entire entry about how much they suck, but I've ranted to both Danny and Hannah, so I'm kind of done talking about it.
I'll probably x-post the letter to lj after I'm done with it.
