I don't rec other people's writing as much as I should, but I just stumbled across underlucius's story, second hand and it totally blew me away.
It's not massively long but every single word counts, and it takes one of the most central relationships of HP canon and made me look at it in a whole new light. I've always kind of discounted Ron as a ficcable character, don't know why, but the thought of reading or writing anything involving him is just bleh. So I'm absolutely amazed that she's managed to really get inside his head and make the reader feel what it's like to be someone like Ron and live with someone like Harry.
this is an utterly lame review so I'm basically just going to post my favourite sentence then order you all to go and read it, it'll take you maybe 5 minutes and I can pretty much guarantee you'll be glad you did.
Second Hand (Adult) HP/SB, HP,RW. Ron's never known anything else
It wasn't until Ron realised he was irrevocably in love with Harry that he discovered how lonely you could be even in the company of another, but there was gossamer now between them, spun from the same webs as Harry's cloak, just as strong, as just as invisible.
