It's the 21st century in Latvia!
Longtime readers will remember my post way back in 2006 about the Latvian folksong tradition. There's been a searchable daina database online since 2002 -- but what did I see today when I stopped by there to search for a song? Down at the bottom of the page: "Mobilais dainuskapi". I'm pretty sure that that there is a daina mobile app! Because every good Latvian needs to have millennia of tradition at their fingertips 24/7!
