Just finished watching, and...oh, the dialogue goes clunk clunk clunk, but the visuals sure are pretty, and hey: Big Ole Bible History Show!

(Also, they're all Jews and no Holocaust in sight! Look, there's more than one Jewish story! Many of them are, in fact, such good stories that people have been telling them for thousands of years!)

I'm prepared to believe that they're going to build to a closer relationship. Didn't David and Jonathan try to kill each other a couple of times? *putters off to rummage through Bible* Blah blah, foreskins of a hundred Philistines...oh, here we go. 1 Samuel 19. Saul tries to get Jonathan to kill David, and Jonathan doesn't go for it. But that's after Saul's tried to kill him a couple of times, so I'm prepared to believe that Slashy Bible AU Show is, at this point, somewhere between 1 Samuel 17 and 18.

Mostly OT, but related to ye moderne Protestants and their poor grasp of the Hebrew Bible: guy from our church named Dave moved in with a guy named Jonathan. I said, "Well gosh, of course you had to!" and he said, "What?" *sigh*
