Project 365 finally begins!
It took forever to get myself down there - yes I found many excuses (reasonable and unreasonable) to avoid getting started. But at 8pm Sunday night, I found myself in the garage in front of the camera.
The result:
Day 1 of 365 - feeling a bit glamorous
So far so good. The first photo also ended up being a test of both of my LumoPro strobes in the basement studio. My biggest worry was that they'd be too weak but I quickly learned they were actually too strong. Front light is set at 1/64 power with a mini soft box and yellow filter. Side light is at 1/8 power to the right and shot through an umbrella.
And this marks the beginning. I'm posting here for this first one, but I am working on setting up a site for more regular posting. Still debating between Wordpress and and my old standby Blogger - hopefully I'll figure it all out by Tuesday.
Of course I don't want this to be 365 days of self-portraits. I'd love love LOVE to involve others in my little project. So anyone who needs a simple headshot or is willing to let me take a well lit photo at an event or wants to dress up and become someone else for an hour or two - let me know. I'll make it happen.
