So like most weekends, I made the trek to my boy's house for some R&R.
The drive was terrible. Rain makes people stupid and getting out of P-town was really long and tedious [it doesn't help that there is construction everywhere]. Once on I-5, the drive got much better. I was a little sad that my i-Pod didn't have enough battery power for the trip...so I listened to the radio instead.
3 hours later...I'm standing outside of BJ's place with a bag of sourdough and cans of clam chowder as he comes out to greet me. Inside little puppy Tuck is noisy and barky until I shut him up with love. Awww...I'm gonna miss my little trips out to Hoquiam.
We enjoyed chowder and sourdough and I protested going out because I was tired from work and the drive. However, after a hot shower, we stayed up until 4am talking and hanging out. Then sleep...lots of sleep until about 1pm. Billy discovers he's coming down with the cold and I try my best to be good gf and take care of him.
After a migraine (me), a disagreement and some rest...we finally head out to hang out with one of the boy's friends--Rick, which includes a ride into town for lunch in Rick's car. I don't really trust other drivers and such, but quietly fight anxiety. Original lunch spot was packed...so we go for some Teriyaki. Billy gets the teriyaki and I get yakisoba. Doesn't matter though because I steal from his plate in return for a portion of the contents of mine. Yum! We spend about an hour and a half laughing about hobos and clothes made out of food.
Then we jet back to the homestead to quickly get ready for the movies. The nifty oldschool theatre in town is screening Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Hooray for old theatres! This one was pretty cool and snacks were $1. We grab some decent seats and snuggle up for the movie. An announcer welcomes everyone and offers her thanks to some contributors and...drumroll...totally name drops Billy for his posters for the show. Gee! Anywho...the movie was great.
Back to the Billy's for post-movie hangout and stuff. Some of his friends call to hang out...maybe pizza. I'm not hungry, so we just go over to hang out before they leave. More meeting cool folk--this time Jasmine. She's sassy and has a tiara [kinda jealous]. Then some more laughing about silly things, etc.
Finally back at the boy's place. We skip dinner to munch on soda bread, look at the Ikea catalog some more and hang out. Around midnight I'm tired so we turn in for the night. Next morning, I make breakfast in bed and suprise a sleepy and sick boyfriend. We go back to napping after breakfast until 1pm when we really have to get up.
Billy's sister's hubby [i forgot the term], Ralph, stops by to pick up Billy's camera and drop of a present for me from Kelly [Billy's sis]. It was a late late xmas gift...a hobo purse! Hooray! So more thank you cards to write in the upcoming week since I really appreciated that.
Then I pack up all my stuff and check to make sure I didn't leave anything. BJ helps me take everything to the car. We run back inside for my umbrella and say goodbye to Billy's folks and the puppy. Billy sees me off after a few minutes of goodbyes. And I drive off.
Sigh...I miss him already.
This will probably be one of my last trips to Hoquiam because BJ is moving to P-town. But it's nice up there and maybe we'll come back together to go visit his family and friends.
Yar. That was my weekend...
