That's how long I have until I pack up all my stuff and move 10 hours to the south of where I live right now. Eesh!
I've been slowly gathering precious bedding materials. I've narrowed down the books, possessions and clothes I'll be lugging down for the 1st three months. I've figured out my financials, paid my tuition and put down my deposit on the apartment. I've picked out my bedroom furniture and planned how I will organize my room.
But I still have more to do!
...so I'm ready...sort of. I wish I had a week of not working to get this all ready, but oh well.
My one worry when I get there...the hills. Yes..those roly-poly mother-f&%kers. SF is full of em...and some are damn near daunting.
Why do those hills worry me? Because I don't have a car and I need to get a damn TV! Everyone selling them on CL is too lazy to deliver so my only solution seems to be:
a) rent a car
b) walk with it
c) use a dolly or cart
The problem with both B and C is because of those damned hills. Going uphill might be all fine and dandy but the moment I have to go down...*cue mental image of tv bouncing down hill, breaking into little bits*
yeah...so that's partly why Ikea will be furnishing most of my bedroom and I might have to pay full price for a TV.
Let the count down begin!
