My least favorite video this year:mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman""> I suppose I have mixed feelings about both I and Love and You and Borgias Are (the Loneliest Planet); they were both small, focused vids, and were maybe more… cerebral than felt, perhaps? Like all the ingredients are there, but not the magic? They were part of a transitional time for me, and I don’t regret them at all, but definitely feel like they’re not my best work.
Most successful video: That has to be You. I know people get far more hits than that, but for me this was the equivalent of going viral, watching that vid race through Tumblr. It was thrilling! Surreal too, because I was at Vividcon, and meanwhile getting all these comments for a vid that wasn’t even airing at VVC. I still feel badly that I didn’t respond to all the comments! But VVC was such a whirl of martinis and vids and thai food and vids (and cough shopping)-the whole thing was like a crazy dream.
Video most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: This one is easy: It is Being. I think that’s one of my best, and really it got no response. I feel like it’s partly because YouTube wouldn’t post it, since it’s audio is The Beatles. I feel like vids that don’t get posted on YouTube have no afterlife. But I really was happy with It is Being. Also, I just love crazy, bee-watching Castiel so much.
Most fun video: Oh, um. Are any of my videos ever fun? :D Borderline? LOL! That would be most hole of sucking sadness video. OK, I’d have to say Curtain Up. That vid is at least about joy. Joy is kind of like fun, right?
Video with single sexiest moment: Hmm. Games 1.00-1.03? :D

mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"">Biggest vid fail: mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"">I never made my Betty Mad Men vid. I got myself tied in knots about it, and frozen, and finally deleted all the source footage I’d accumulated in despondence. I need to make that happen, one of these days.
Hardest video to make: Oh, the one I’m making now, but that doesn’t count. Hmm. Games. Games was really effing hard to make.
Most unintentionally telling video: Silver and Gold. Actually, I’m not sure what it tells, other than that I remain obsessed with Sufjan and Castiel, that my fannish preoccupations are circular. But I feel like there’s more too, about where I’m at right now, but I’m too close to it to even know right now.

Things I learned: Don’t overthink. When in doubt, vid. Don’t hide the point, but don’t overemphasize it either.

Resolutions for 2012:
This is going to be very specific. To vid Song Reader. Beck! Old Shanghai. Do We? We Do! Saint Dude. So going to happen.
Also, to really streamline a workflow that results in HQ files but doesn’t take up enormous amounts of harddrive room. I believe it is possible. And then to share it!
