Once upon a time, in a roleplay community not so far away, the members of this community were really into a thing called group chats. Over time, these chats died, though were revived on a number of occasions, but never for long. And it was sad times for all.
Soooo, what do you all think about bringing back group chats on a weekly basis?
We played with the idea for a while, but it was a bit hard to put into action (mostly concerning rounding everyone up). Eventually the idea just disappeared into the abyss.
But I suddenly realized that AIM Blast is almost perfect for group chats.
For those of you who don't know what the hell I'm nattering on about, Aim Blast allows users to communicate simultaneously with a group of users. Similar to a chatroom, Aim Blast lets you send messages to everyone within your group. So it's essentially a mass IM.
We experimented with it a little while back, but using it too often I think burned some out and annoyed others. So I propose a set time and date each week so we can easily drag everyone who's online in the group into a chat, but restrict the use of the Blast Group to this date and time as a courtesy to others.
So are you guys interested in this idea or nah? If you are, sign up with your AIM screen name and please suggest a day and time frame (For example: Sunday, 5pm-11pm) when this all will take place.
Sorry for you lot who don't use AIM, but to be honest, AIM is the community's main form of communication. So, it's perhaps in your best interests to get an AIM screen name so you can join in on the fun~
