One of my late arriving yuletide goodies showed up. One of my friends gifted me with Jenny Jochens' Women in Old Norse Society. I had a xerox copy version from my thesis research days highlighted, underlined and scribbled full of notes, so having a nice pristine book is really nice. :)

Sometimes the seemingly spammy messages I get from Amazon, offer real gems. The latest missive I received from Amazon mentions a new book, that seems just up my alley, and the alley of some of the folks I know. Obviously I haven't read it yet, so I can make no claims as to the book itself, but now I'm curious to get my hands on this book.
