GOOD NEWS:

So my parents are awesome.  The newest reasons why: when they come to visit, they're taking me back to Paris with them (their flight arrives/leaves there) for a day!!!  Also, since they're staying for a while here, they gained enough Mariott points to get my boyfriend a free night.  So one of the nights he's here we can go there (where there's a heated indoor POOL) instead of his hostel!
Also, I had normally planned to just stay in this country and really explore it (partially because I'm short on cash and partially because I don't want this to be a vacation, I really want to be a Londoner for the four months I'm here) but now it appears I'm doing a little tour.  I booked a daytrip to Caerdydd (Cardiff), Wales---Doctor Who museum.  Enough said----am now apparently going to Paris, France; AND am visiting my cousin in Edinburgh, Scotland for a weekend.  WOOH NELLY.
Here's a funny video by Mint Royale:

What to do when you're so sick you're bedridden for two and a half days?  Well, some fun ideas I've been experimenting with are vomiting from 5am-7.30am, being so achey and hot you can't sleep, and pumping yourself so full of Tylenol you weep acetaminophen.  But if you get tired of that (can't imagine how you could--it's such a laugh), you can try ordering out for the sole purpose of getting three 1.25L bottles of Diet Coke.  You can also watch English comedy shows such as The Mighty Boosh, Little Britain, and hunt down episodes of Nevermind the Buzzcocks.  I also hunted down some good UK tunes.  Current favorites are White Lies, Kasabian, and Midfield General.
