Friday recs post: spanking party
I’m going to bring back my weekly recs posts, guys - on Fridays instead of Saturdays because I am out at work from 6:15am to 9:15pm at the weekends. But they’re back, which means this post is full of stuff I’ve had saved for ages; the hiatus on reccing has not meant a hiatus on me seeing stuff and going SO COOL. :)

This is the best thing ever. I requested spanking fic with Draco and any of the above named characters, so thusspakekate gave me ALL OF THEM. Underneath His Skirt by thusspakekate. Lucius/Pansy, ~5 200 words, NC-17. Summary: The pinch of hastily transfigured shoes; the elastic snap of a knee sock; the graze of a woolen skirt against his well-muscled thigh.
This is stupendous. I love Lucius’ POV, Pansy’s comments on what men thinks about schoolgirls and the way Lucius’ kink works. Pansy’s combination of utter understanding and awkward youth is brilliant, and it’s so hot!
Pureblood Pleasure Remix by dexstarr. Pansy/Astoria, ~600 words, NC-17; D/s. Summary: How Astoria's tattoo came to be.
This is SUPER HOT. Seriously. SUPER HOT. But then everything written for the femslash-remix fest was brilliant and if you missed it you should check it out.

The hp-fanart-fest was another brilliant fest, chockablock with awesome. This chilling, gorgeous piece of mixed-media, tactile and marvellously crafted and ending with an intensely ferocious pair of eyes, was one of the most memorable pieces for me.
Avengers fic
Average Avengers Local Chapter 7 of New York City by hetrez. Steve/Tony, ~9200 words, PG-13. Summary: Steve and Tony accidentally start a national do-gooders association and fall in love.
I love that Steve Rogers is this American ideal who is liberal and would likely be pro-union and even left-wing by American standards, so the fic was utter joy on that count. I loved the Average Avenger movement and how authentic and believable it felt as a movement, and Tony's befuddlement and the kiss. Plus I found it rather educational as a Brit.

Science From The Heart by 0nlyHands. Tony & Bruce gen.
I genuinely don’t understand why this doesn’t have hundreds of thousands of views because it’s the best. I have watched it every couple of weeks for months and it’s pure joy. It’s also a lovely little example of the internet being great: someone on Tumblr said they wanted an Avengers musical a la Once More With Feeling, and then someone reblogged and suggested different songs it would include and then someone else reblogged and wrote the lyrics to one of those songs, and then 0nlyHands wrote the music and sang it and put it on Youtube. FTW.
And it’s funny and sweet and just generally great.
