Where my ideas come from

When I'm busy, I mean really busy, my imagination goes on overdrive.

You know when you're about to fall asleep and you can almost taste the dreams that are going to color the night in ridiculousness and drama? And you know that moment just after you wake up and you can still remember every detail of the dreams that just ended? Everything seems clearer and more interesting and so are your thoughts. When I'm really busy, when I'm deprived of sleep and exhausted nearly all the time, everyday is like I am in a constant state of just about to sleep or just woke up.

My thoughts are like this. ---> O_O

Exactly like this. ---> O_O

I remember being in my classes back in college, trying to listen intently to the lectures, tired from typing all night, loving the learning and then---BAM! I think to myself, "Ham, lettuce and melted cheese roll ups." Or I think, "Put the pockets on the pants right there and you won't have to worry about reaching for change while you're sitting down." This one time I just blurted out in class, "A sex scene without sex or people."

The hard part, of course, is making sense of all the ideas afterward when I actually have time to do something about them.

-------------
1. Geek Chic: an online shopping website that concentrates on geeky fashion made truly fashionable. Sterling silver White Tree of Gondor tie pins not Spider-Man cartoon ties. Professor X inspired three piece suits not full Star Fleet uniforms. Most geek gear is looked down upon by the general public because they look ridiculous and overdone so on this site there will be an emphasis on subtlety.

2. Dialogue: "I don't want to be just friends! I'd rather choke on my own vomit than be just your friend."

3. Dialogue: "Oh please. Don't flatter yourself. I happen to love a lot of people."

4. Dialogue: "If we get out of this alive, can I kiss you? I promise not to be terrible at it."

5. Epic superhero comic book: An entire universe set in the Philippines like no other we've seen mixing new ideas while alluding to old legends. Sci-fi. Fantasy. Comedy. A mixture. Exactly like a Filipino work of fiction should be. Depressing then hopeful. Silly. Revisionist. I see it nearly every night now when I go to sleep. I only have the general outline. But so far it's awesome. In my head, anyway. No name yet. So much more to think about.

perfect moment, drama, sex, dreams, ridiculous, ideas, awesome, insight, writing
