I love PBS. The High Kings are on at the moment, with updated arrangements of a lot of traditional Irish folk music ala the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem, and boy are they a hoot to watch. Toe-tapping, bodhran-thumping good. *grin*

And lovely background to sitting here working on fic and bouncing back and forth between Word and Photoshop.

This was a good, manic, positively knock-down, drag-out exhilarating and exhausting day. I had 54 people in my 'what's it like to scuba' program down at the Children's half of the museum, and I did my spiel about three times in its entirety to accommodate the crowds, which meant I was in my wetsuit, on my feet, talking, crouching, hefting gear, ( Read more... )

...I'm writing, I swear. Some of it's almost ready to post. However, it's been a heck of a week for a number of reasons, chief among which is the fact that my uncle died this week and I'm now in Cleveland, post-funeral. People who know me know these are not my colors, particularly the orange and yellow. Greens are good, but the background which I was given as a challenge was far more orange and yellow than green, so I mucked with it a bit. (Read, "a lot.")
