Why yes, I am still alive.

Feb 08, 2009 20:16

All appearances to the contrary, I am still a mostly functional human being.  I haven't been around much the last two weeks or so, for which I apologize.  Between 10 hours a week of rehearsal, having some numbskull back into my car in a parking lot, and the drama and general schlepping involved in moving rooms in my house from the teeniest to a ( Read more... )

Very good to hear that you are still well and alive (you know you've watched too much stargate when you find yourself putting both those things in a sentence as though they might be mutually exclusive).

Lawyerboy, huh? Do tell!

Old desks are the best and so much prettier and more useful than new ones once they're fixed up!

Oh, boy! Dancing pain! The pain that is everywhere, even places where you can't imagine why it hurts! Sympathies...
Glad the writing is going well for the most part!

*chuckle* There is no such thing as too much Stargate.

Lawyerboy of the 11 year tapdance, yes. We had lunch at Wagamama's, went to the bookstore and the beadstore (I had an errand to run and presumed upon his good nature) and wandered through Harvard Square trying not to miss being in college too much, talking books and politics and tv and such. It was fun.

Yeah, my shoulders are stiff today, and I can't figure out why except for the fact that I had to pretend to lean back on the arms of a partner who wasn't there, so I repeatedly flung myself out into space and pulled back up again--I'm thinking that must be the cause.

*sits around, watching you move... but ready to take dictation for all your wonderful stories you don't have time to write...*
at least the move is within the house, rather than having to pack a truck and schlep it across town, state, country.

Man, dictation help would be so nice! *laugh* Mind you, you'd have to edit out all the sneezes from the dustbunnies, and the occasional 20th century colorful metaphor when I drop something on my feet. *grin*

Yay, the mailman got through!

LawyerBoy eh? I demand details the next time we chat! *grins*

Refinishing a wood desk (which I assume is what this desk is made of) can be fun if you know exactly what steps you should be following. I've seen a cherrywood desk refinished, and i twas beauuuuuuuutiful.

We've been working on our new troupe number this weekend, go look up "Nasty Naughty Boy" on youtube *laugh*.

Very excited about the letter. Don't know as I'll have a chance to respond today, but I'm hoping this week will have a few good windows of opportunity. *grin*

This desk is maple, so it won't be quite as gorgeous as cherry, sadly, but I have plans. *laugh* My parents are going to DC for several days next week, so I'm thinking the sanding and such will be a good way to keep me occupied while I'm alone in the house.

Will have to check out youtube shortly. :)
