Nostalgia is kind of a scary, powerful thing from time to time, isn't it?

You've been sounding kinda sad in general lately. :( How are you?

I'm not really sad, but there's not a lot happening in my life right now, and by consequence not a lot for me to be overwhelmingly happy about. It's more like a passive acceptance of boredom than active saddness. This is coupled with a reevaluation of priorities and whatnot.

This makes your nostalgia comment more and more true, somehow.

Me Liz? IF so, I am flattered. (I showed off my birthday poesm in Pragmatics, but no one really laughed because they were so shocked I had a brouther who'd write me a poem.)

I so wish I could come to RenFest with ye, but I'm afraid it will have to wait until next year. I locked my library books, some paper, and osme food and water in the office for a week, and nothing happened! I guess it's true that papers don't write themselves. So now I have to do it. Alas. But if you pick a date now to go to RenFest next year, I won't just pencil it in--I'll write it in PEN!

Btw, that compact disc and electrical tin opener you're contemplating...is that a single device?

I can also see how you slipped into a bit of the Trainspotting there... In that big paragraph... separated by massive quantities of commas... and stuff.

Hey! Walmart has a David Lynch dual disc set for $10.00! It has Mulholland Drive and the Swimming Pool! We shall get this set, and then we shall watch the Swimming Pool again, and THEN spend the rest of the week trying to figure out the plot.

David Lynch didn't direct Swimming Pool, so that's an odd pairing. I think it was some French guy. Regardless, I can live with not understanding that movie; it didn't affect me enough to want to really dig it.

Yeah, Sarah was thinking Lost Highway = The Swimming Pool

Kinda funny the way your mind works when you've been up for 28 hours...

I've seen that there. If I had $50, I might buy it.
