The presidents of Russia and Iran Dmitry Medvedev and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have confirmed their intent to develop mutually beneficial relations.
According to the Kremlin press service, their phone conversation focused on the most promising area for cooperation - the energy field, with special focus on the Bushehr power plant, which is due to be launched soon.
Medvedev and Ahmadinejad exchanged opinions on Iran’s nuclear program, noting the importance of the upcoming talks between the Mediating Six and representatives from Tehran.
