LJers can be major idiots with no sense of satire
While I personally feel that most liberals are intelligent, I know
that a lot of the ones on livejournal.com are not. You see way back
in January of 2002, I made a fake LJ account of a pretend
fundamentalist Christian, purely to post some bizarre snarky comment
on dariabat's journal. The joke continues to this day. Yes, one
three-line post four years ago still prompts people to give me lessons
on tolerance and religion.
You see, to make my fundy profile more messed up, I listed interests
such as blowing up abortion clinics, god hates fags, and conversion.
My personal website is the satire site LandoverBaptist.com (hilarious,
if you haven't seen it yet). Despite all this, people feel I am
serious, and this leads to funny comments. Oh and my bio says, "I was
once a lost homosexual, but then I found Jesus in my taco." I don't know, but it seems like that could be a huge tip-off the it's all a joke.
How the hell are people so stupid? Has everyone lost their ability to
understand satire? I mean, did these people read "A Modest Proposal"
and really think that Jonathan Swift was advocating the consumption of
babies. Anyway, here's the link...
