Ugh. Google hosed us today! We have our corporate e-mail hosted on Google Apps for business. We wanted to remove a domain alias and change that to be our primary mail domain. Not only did the system not let us remove the alias properly, but then it got in a cludgy state where it would not deliver mail for that domain at all! So the primary mail addresses we are using and relying on now were bouncing all mail for most of the day. Which is bad enough, but Google had no reasonable answer and no ETA on when it would be fixed.
Thank god we have our primary external DNS with DynDNS and they offer an unlimited mail forwarding service for $50 / year. We signed up to add that service to our account when it became obvious Google would continue hosing us without end in sight, and it took effect immediately ( give or take a little MX record TTL timeout ) and we're back on track. We had to enter in all the aliases individually, but we currently have only 28 people and a handful of groups, so not a big deal.
Google Apps for businesses = Very, very aggravating
DynDNS = Rockstars
