Update on Saving DDFH Fan Fiction
Dear L&M Fans,
Good news! A fellow L&M fan reached out to me to help save all of the files, photos, and fan fiction on the Dead Dolphin and Flogged Horse Yahoo Group (DDFH). She also gave me a list of Yahoo Groups Download Tools that I could use to download all of the content from all of the YahooGroups that I'm currently a member of. This is great! I chose the PGOffline software (1000 messages for the free trial, then $25 to download as much content as you want), and I am currently downloading all of the DDFH's content as I type. :)
At this point, I'm not sure how to send the backed up files to all of you, but I will figure that out once I've got it all saved. If you have YahooGroups that you'd like to backup, or you don't want to wait for me to figure out how to send the DDFH stories to you, please feel free use any of the download tools to grab the content yourself. :) *this is so exciting* I love when developers and programmers figure out how to do something and share it with the rest of us. They are good people.

Note: If any of you apply to join the DDFH, tell me so I can let the moderator know to approve you. She doesn't check her email regularly and the pending memberships expire in a matter of days. New memberships are no longer approved through YahooGroups.
Update: April 14th, 2020
YahooGroups has now sadly erased all messages, files, links, and photos associated with all YahooGroups. New memberships to the DDFH are officially closed, and all the files, fan fiction, links, and photos are all gone, so you wouldn't see much if you joined anyway. :( Boooooo.
Fortunately, I did backup the entire server. I just need to figure out how to restore it all someplace. I need some techie help for that!
This is what the group looks like now. Pretty blank. It shows your membership, and that's it. No Photos/Links/Files/Messages. That's all gone.
Thanks to some wonderful volunteers at YahooGeddon who happened to reach out to me through my own YahooGroups, (and thanks to the fact that I've been adamant about maintaining the same email address all of these years), I caught their message and they were able to teach me how to install some pretty groovy software that backed up all the data of all my YahooGroups, including the Dead Dolphin and Flogged Horse, and the WRBeta (the fan fiction beta group of www.wolverineandrogue.com).
Although I am so sad to see a huge part of the Internet's history gone, I am so glad that a great group of fandom historians worked for weeks on end, many of us working full time jobs simultaneously, to save this part of our history and our lives. I'm fascinated to learn how we will restore it all!
Update April 25th: New memberships are no longer approved through YahooGroups. There are no longer any messages or files hosted inside the yahoogroups, so there isn't much point to joining now anyway. :( Thank you so much to kittenrescue for keeping the Dead Dolphin and Flogged Horse running for all those years! And for beta-ing thousands of Logan and Marie fan fics over the years, including mine! We love you!

Thousands of Logan and Marie fan fiction stories are contained in the messages folder, contained in the above zip file. Once you download and unzip the file, click on the messages folder. The messages contain all of the emails that were sent back and forth between all of the members of the DDFH from 2001-2020, many of which contained fan fiction stories, as this was primarily a fan fiction group.
When you open the the "Messages" folder, you will see a bunch of HTMLDigest files, which are digests of emails compressed into 14 files.
When you open any of the HTMLDigest files, you will get a page that looks like the image below.
Click on the hyperlinked message number (3, 4, etc.) to open the full text of the email/message. The text of each e-mail message opens up.
All of the fan fictions are embedded in these HTMLDigests! Is this groovy or what???!
