I cannot believe that anyone could think that we could just go without the Bayern players. They've played 2 CL finals in 3 seasons. Of course they haven't won, but reaching the final is still better than going out in the group stages or the first knock-out round or something ( ... )

I completely agree with you. I'm trying not to be too bitter about the loss because I know Loew was experimenting to see who can plan where. It was definitely a test to see who will play opposite of Lahm in the fullback position. I wish Schmelzer had made the step up, but he left a lot to be desired, because I think that Lahm is much better on the right and he's been playing there for a while and making the switch back to left would be hard for him. When he switched back for Bayern back at the beginning of the season, it took him a few games to get back into the swing of things and he did a few crazy moves so he could have the ball on his right foot ( ... )

One could argue Bayern was the better side last week too. Chelsea had God on their side, as far as I'm concerned.

Our wing-back problem is a problem!

I think this was the best possible game for the lads and the best possible result.
