TV -Spoilers for Aired Episodes Behind the Cuts

General Feelings
I like Eleven but hate his stupid bowtie (and his hair). They both make him look even younger.
I adore Amy Pond and the fact that she is a more competent world saver than the Doctor at this point.
I love that this season highlights the Peter Pan aspects of The Doctor.
I think the overarching plot of the season (the cracks in the world and the obvious conclusion that either The Doctor personally or the Time Lords generally are responsible for them) seems awesome.

Baby Amelia Pond was awesome. I love how skeptical and at the same time accepting she is.
I love that he is not done cooking yet and the whole new mouth new rules thing (which totally re-inspires me to write my Martha/Nine fic is which he is not a jerk to her like Ten is).
I love that Amy tricks The Doctor and uses her brain to defeat a possible assailant.
I enjoyed the community feeling of the episode and the time limit aspect.
I sort of think that The Doctor just needs to put some sort of beacon on Earth saying something like "This Planet is Under the Protection of The Doctor, Time Lord Esq.". Then maybe those damned kids would stay off his lawn.
Overall it was a a lively romp that is in the spirit of Who season premieres.

This episode didn't quite stick right for me even though I like all the aspects.
I really did love the Starship UK idea and Liz Ten (SO HOT) and the voting .
I loved that the impetus for everything was a single child crying.
I love that Amy figured it out and The Doctor didn't.
The problem I think is that in this episode I didn't really see the "very old and very kind" aspect of The Doctor... I didn't see his love for humanity at all in fact. He seemed quite distanced from them, even resentful. I think it was therefore a mismatch of Doctor behavior (because he does sometimes get like that but this was not a good plot to match with that) and message.
I didn't feel we needed the "gross Star Whale puke" scene.
I found it interesting and liked (in a story way, not in an I approve of him) that The Doctor was initially testing Amy as a companion.

Winston Churchhill was awesome. I love his Tardis key stealing and his buddy-ness with The Doctor (also which Doctor(s) did he know?).
Honestly I thought the Dalek redesign was weak. If you are going to make a big plot point in order to redo their look, you need to do something more.
I love history episodes so I am biased towards liking this one (although I did wish Amy had put on a period costume since she knew when they were going before she got dressed). Also since it was during the blitz I was remembering meeting Jack with Nine and Rose and feeling fondly.
It sort of annoyed me that the woman who was stressed about her boyfriend thing never actually became a plot point.
Yes, the Daleks have found The Doctor's weakness... he destroyed his own planet and people to get rid of the Daleks, but he won't sacrifice Earth and the humans.
I sort of enjoyed "helpful" Daleks because Daleks offering you tea are just hilarious.
Once again Amy is awesome and better at saving the world than The Doctor is.

Some time earlier in the year we had started recording episodes of The Mentalist because it seemed like our kind of show and we were actually really light on TV but we hadn't gotten around to watching any of it, so earlier episodes started falling off the end. Now I am sad they did because since I have been crocheting we have been really enjoying watching it while I do that and Jeremy uses my laptop to level alts. Also, why did no one tell me it took place where I live? (ps. It is not Downtown Sacramento... it's Midtown. Get it right TV people!) Obviously I love quirky procedurals with no-nonsense woman law enforcement officers and touchy feely dudes who help her solve crimes but make her life harder. Also I enjoy that this is the platonic iteration of this dynamic (like what we had on Life). I also totally dig the ensemble nature of the show and that different combination of characters interact with each other instead of it always being the same ones. The actual routine of the show is very basic (Jaime pisses a bunch of people off and then fakes everyone out to reveal the killer) but I enjoy it. Also I am digging the new boss who is obviously awesome and in charge and not evil but not going to get drawn in by his charming smirk. And yes, I totally see what queenofthorns has been thinking because yes he would make an amazing Jaime with the golden curls and good natured smirk. Plus, bonus points for not failing like Bones when it comes to alternative lifestyles, the open marriage really was a good working thing for the scientist couple and was not the cause of the murder in any way shape or form.

I am really loving this show but couple of things are irritating me, primarily the "Remember when Elena used to have friends, especially her best friend Bonnie?" issue. The preview for next week says there is a pageant so I have to assume they will be back, but since they should have been at this party (especially Caroline) I am getting cynical.

On the other hand I continue to love the fast pace of this show.
I love that they are going there with Stefan going bloodthirsty and compelling people etc.
I want to punch John Gilbert in the face so hard.
Alaric and Damon hating each other but working together is golden.
Tyler, please werewolf out now!? (and maybe bite off the head of your douche of a dad)
I am curious to see what Jeremy does now that he's found Elena's diary.
I am so happy they got rid of the stupid voice over.

Unfortunately Bones lost my trust when it came to relationship plot decisions a long time ago. So when Bones and Booth didn't hook up two episodes ago and said they were going to date other people I didn't have the normal response of (this will force them to confront their feelings) after what they had done with Angela and Hodgins I truly could not trust that they didn't really think they could drop it. But then this week was an Angela/Hodgins episode and I felt some of my faith restored. Still skeptical though. I did love that in the flashback case Booth tested Bones and she understood why and Cam brought them together and nobody liked each other yet. Still, the show has just lost it's x factor in the last few years and I wonder if it is ever going to get it back and am doubtful.

When I started crocheting I thought ANTM would be the perfect thing to have on while I did it. Unfortunately, either I have become more aware or ANTM has become exponentially worse... or a little of both. Last week's episode was so full of racist (and classist) bullshit in the house drama (White girls vs. black/biracial girls and the teen mom). Not a single person is innocent of this drama. And the show keeps trying to make me think Alasia is a crazy person when honestly she is being picked on constantly. Also I am supposed to think Angelea is "the bitch" when Brenda, Raina and Jessica were being beyond bitchy. Then during judging the way Tyra chose to reprimand Jessica for talking back to the judges was really fucking sexist. There is a way to say, "hey people who are in a position of power should be treated with respect" that is not "OMG don't have confidence and go back to being sweet submissive american apple pie girl". Blech.

Still watching because I like Juliet's character (even though possibly I just want her to be Sarah Connor) and their V ally (the black man because we needed to physically mark him as OTHER). Also totally shipping her and the priest... do not care if it is wrong. I am sad that John May isn't actually alive. Plot hole continues to be that V dude would probably know what the Vs wanted and somehow this keeps not getting mentioned.

I sort of feel like they are wasting time considering this is the last season and I will probably be annoyed by a rushed wrap up. I do really like the alternate time line stuff. The best episode this season is still the Ben one, even though it didn't further the plot it was a masterful episode. Anyway, Lost keeps being interesting but I still don't get that "OMG SHOW" feeling from it. Also, soulless Sayid is a lame gimmick, IHMO.

Castle never fails me. It is funny and adorable and sort of dumb. I hope it never changes. Especially his family.
