I don’t mean to belittle the disappointment that any guy who had wanted to go out with you must have felt to hear you weren’t on your feet. I’m sure the disappointment was considerable. But as an OUTSIDE observer, dispassionate and objective, I just wanted to say that I think to be aware of your current state, to be able to ask yourself what you need, to communicate that clearly, and not to try getting to know someone when your energies were needed to heal and process... probably took a lot of insight and is just a really healthy thing to do for yourself... and actually really quite respectful to the poor fellow(s) involved, too. Ya know? I just want to say that I, for one, respect such a choice. Quite a bit. :) Course, easy for ME to say from the outside, eh? Glad to hear your semester is going well.
