A Well-Furnished Apartment, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Sunday

Sep 01, 2013 13:16

Peter had left Fandom about half a day or so after Natalie had - too much work to finish that he couldn't just do in transit or leave to somebody else. He - and his guard, and his armored car - swung by her hotel early that Sunday morning to pick her up and take her to her final destination.

Said final destination was a modestly-sized but modern-looking apartment building in the downtown area, around the corner from the promised market stall. It wasn't the same place Peter had spent his time at when he'd been here; he'd consciously chosen a more utilitarian place to stay at. But for Natalie he'd brokered a much nicer place, fully-furnished and containing a bathroom that was, to be frank, maybe a bit over the top.

But right now they were getting out of the car, looking up at the building.

"I'd say 'home sweet home'," Peter said, grinning, "But I think that's your line."
