Okay gettin' that heavy dosage of livejournal guilt, so I think im gonna write.
The goods. This weekend was pretty rockin'. Friday went back home and hung out with legrow, jbro, steve, alex, and others. We played some rockin' games of HALO, which is code for: the best game in the world! So that was a good time, then we went to 99's and got some gold fevers and buffalos. Then we played more Halo and then went to Bickford's to meet up with all the semi people. It was kinda cool, we just hung out there and chilled with some high school people. Good times. Then on Sat. me, jbro, and canton left on the CT road trip. That was a fun ride, lotta "guy talk." When we got there we went to Krispy Kream donuts with KB and Duxy. That place was about a chocolate glazed donut away from giving me an orgasm. GOOD DONUTS! After that we went back to New Haven college and found ross, legrow, and zinni. We sang songs outside and stuff and then left to the Big D and Monty's Fan Club show. They both rocked wicked hard. Duxy sat down and interviewed Big D and Monty's for a project he's doing. The show rocked. We were all singin outside and everyone was joinin it. It was like a local show, which was cool, only the bands there sucked (other then Big D and Monty's). Of course Big D played sick!!! Monty's was great too, they're definitely makin' the big time. After the show we went back to the dorms. Ended up drinkin'. Then Zinni, Legrow, and Ross left to go home (ross drove, so he didnt drink). I wish they stayed though. "I wanna see smiles on those faces!" Yeah i acted stupid as usual, but we all had fun. I punished duxy for keeping us up late as kids by annoying the shit out of him all night. How ya like that one? ...bitch. Then we woke up, went home, had more guy talk. then i lounged at home, ate dinner with the family, and came here to write an essay due tomorrow. Good weekend.
The weekend was good, but im so glad it's over cause that means Thanksgiving is almost here! I get to see Lisa!!! I havnt seen her in a long time! Then I see my family and I get to work wed night from 3-11, and that's all they gave me cause of the stupid budget cut!!! I NEED MONEY!!!
Shows... Last night's show got me so pumped to play again. I really wanna just rock out till I die!! I saw those stupid kid's last night playing, and trying so hard to rock a crowd that really wasnt diggin' them. Actually it kinda made me think of how stupid I probably look on stage when i "rock out." I miss it though. This one kid was so emo. He was jumpin around everywhere, complaining about how tired he was and then when the set was over he lied on the stage for literally 10min. I wanted to punch him but I was afraid he would shed emo tears. I think emo is good though. It gives fat girls a way to feel accepted with there flippy hair, over done makeup, and emo-glasses. It also lets really skinny frail guys let there feminine side leak out with there tight girl jeans, and hair over there eyes. I miss the scene...The bands last night lacked originality too. Ive come to find out that I guess it's no longer acceptable to have a band that doesnt scream. I guess screaming is a way of letting out the anger they have because there hamburger was over cooked or something. What happened to scenes these days? I hate being the tallest person in the crowd.
I could ramble on about that stuff all day. I just miss the ol' days of pop-punk i guess. Bands are being too serious now, no one is having fun anymore. It's all about tears and screams. I like seeing a band that can crack jokes in between songs and stuff. That's why Big D and Monty's rocked it last night. They were fun. They didn't rip off Thursday chords, or scream on every track. They were themselves, and that's why they are successful...okay thats all i got for now...im still bored though. I wanna see Lisa. I want Thanksgiving vaca to be here!
