Lobster's Notes, 5 July 2009

Event: Arrival

Location: The City
* Looks very much like New York City. Most of the streets are familiar.
* timestopping says it is 2009 here. [ ref]
* Native police force missing. People are taken from different places/worlds, given powers, and told to replace them.
* 200-300 people "ported" in so far.
* Machine originally run by an armored suit belonging to someone called "Iron Man," which had taken on a life of its own.
* Machine since taken over by some other artificial intelligence. (The voice in the machine's computer?)
* Not everyone helps as requested. Some don't bother, while others add to the trouble. [ ref]
The Communicator

* The machine said it was "Starktech."
* Miniaturized keyboard, and a display that shows what was typed; some sort of advanced computer?
* Video camera. Plays back on the same display.
* Audio recording and playback.
* ...Radio transmitter and receiver, already active. Introduction to the City's communication Network happened sooner than I planned.
* timestopping mentioned a tracking function.
* amnotaweasel described privacy functions.
* Also a map and "GPS", which appears to display one's current location on the map.
* Network communication keyed to a number. Found option to assign names to numbers. No option for posting anonymously. Working undercover may require acquisition of a second communicator from the machine.

Person: "Tony Stark"/"Iron Man"
* Fights crime wearing an armored suit.
* One of these suits, acting on its own, began bringing people here.
* Stark himself only arrived later, also taken from another world.
* "Empty suit" therefore either native to this world but merely aping Stark's design, or this world has its own version of Stark who built it, or it somehow came to this world from Stark's before anyone else started getting ported.
* If the latter, did it arrive and build the machine, or did the machine bring it here. If the latter, who built the machine remains unknown. Who operated the machine to bring the "empty suit" is also unknown, unless the AI currently in charge of it has actually been there the entire time.
* "Empty suit" has since been destroyed. enigmaestro wasn't forthcoming on who did it or why.
* Stark's identity as Iron Man used to be secret in his world, but became publicly known, and he maintains that here. (Because others from his world are here?)
* His company makes the communicators everyone ported to the City have.

* Male. Unhelpful. Disdainful of Justice.
* Attempted to propose a wager. Wording strongly implies that he himself would be the murderer. Be watchful of this one.
