YAY! I just got an email telling me that I was accepted to the Atomic Holiday Bazaar again this year! Woo hoo! I did it in 2007 and had a blast, and I would have applied last year but that dumb brother had his dumb wedding that day, derp a derp. My friend Jess isn't doing it this year because last year it was too much work and not much payoff for her. Thankfully, I'm sharing a table with my friend Nelani, who I met at the Square One art show. I was kind of proud of that because I was on my own at the meet and greet before the show and just walked up to Nelani's table where she was with her friend Alisha and started chatting. I felt suuuuper awkward doing that, but we ended having a really great night together and at the show. Plus, Nelani has a pug named Dashboard and lives in the basement of an old church in Ybor City, and I just think that's fucking cool.
When I mentioned the AHB on my Facebook when looking for a partner ro share a table (I don't need all the space and didn't want to pay full price), she commented and said it sounded like fun and wanted to share a table. Her stuff is friggin' great (I think her store on etsy is drawkward, a fun palindrome) so I'm not surprised to organizers accepted her. They remembered me and looove my paintings so I was pretty sure I'd get in. It was just really great to get confirmation. Huzzah!
Uh, now I have to get to work on some paintings to sell. Shit!
