Its Friday
I got to sleep in today because I don't have class on Friday besides Symphonic Band, everything else is Monday, Wednesday or Tuesday, Thursday. To top off my normal sleeping in, we didn't have rehearsal today because our director is out of town. However, on Wednesday we did receive a Stravinsky piece for our next concert. It has six freakin flats! Six! I am going to need a practice alot for that one this weekend. Also we have a women's game tomorrow afternoon against UNLV. The game is Senior Day, as it is the last home game for the women's team. Right now I am sitting at home bored, like I usually am on a Friday. This is what happens when your friends don't call you to do anything with them, there is no Kappa event, and your single. Life can be so depressing sometimes. Then there are the happy times:
Like, Monday night. The loudest basketball game that I have ever been too. Our men's team played 12th ranked Utah at home in the biggest came of the year. The majority of the band actually was spirited and stood up the whole time. The crowd was standing up nearly the whole time as well. Our team played the best they have probably played all year, and ended up kicking the Utes ass! Well, maybe not totally, but it sure felt like it, and we won by 11 points. Despite the announcements by the PA guy near the end of the game to "stay off the court", our students rushed the court at the end of the game to celebrate with the players. My voice was hoarce at the end of that game and I was sweating like a pig because the arena became so hot. That was probably the most fun I've had in a while. Hopefully our men's team can keep it up.
Anyway, nothing much else going on in my life really. Just school, band, and boredom. Got an 88 on my accounting test this week, so I was pretty happy about that. I had a quiz in Geography on Thursday, and I think I did okay. I have a paper due on Tuesday for English, so that will take up some of my weekend. Guess that's about it, Go Lobos!
