(no subject)
Due to a friend's concern, I decided to update today, less you all think I've gone off and topped myself. Or worse, I was eaten alive by the dreaded grandparents. Haha.
Friends
Abby's in Nebraska right now (I think that was the city...) visiting her boyfriend's home. So I'm a bit sad that we won't have as much contact as we usually do (which, lately, isn't that much) before I have to go back to school on Momday.
School
Thank God there are only about 7 more months left of school all together. Then I am finally done. ... And then I have to look for work, a house, a way to pay taxes... *sigh* It doesn't bare thinking about right now. I'll probably move downstairs when Lynda moves out.
Semester one is almost over. Aproximately only two and a half weeks left. Exams start on the 26th and go to the first of next month. The second and third are PA days. Semester 2 starts, of course, on the 6th. I have Food & Nutrition (not looking forward to it), Art, and Exercise Science (really not looking forward to it: I've heard it's really hard - I just want to breeze right through the rest of school).
Thankfully, there's no gym exam. A bunch of assignments made up for it though. Hopefully I did very well on the last assignment we had, then I won't have to do those two stupid presentations. One of which is worth 5% of our grade, the other one I'm not sure of.
My mark in Religions class is 95, so no worries there for passing the exam (which is on the 27th). My English mark was 85 that last time I checked it. The research essay may have bumped it up to 90, but I'm not sure. Still, whatever my mark, it has to be above 80, so, no worries on the exam.
Books
I just finished re-reading (for about the 3rd time) The Last Herald Mage series by Mercedes Lackey. I love the series, along with the Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling. I never fail to shed a few tears on the last book of The Last Herald Mage.
From the library I got a few slash books. The first three books of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin; The Fall of the Kings by Ellen Kushner; Fire from Heaven by Mary Renault; The Bull From the Sea by Mary Renault; The Persian Boy by Mary Renault; and I *think* Dragon's Winter by Elizabeth A. Lynn is slash - not sure though; and lastly, Rainbow Road (the sequel to Rainbow Boys, and Rainbow High) by Allen Sanchez(or something along those lines).
Fics
I think Abby and I are about a little over half way done on our current story, Zero Zero. I still have to buckle down and start editing our other stories so we can finally post them. I was actually thinking of creating a free website where I could just post our un-beta read stories on there. That way, those who are absolutely desperate to read, can, and for those who would rather wait until the fics are completely edited (since they could change a great deal from the original) they can wait longer for the final copies.
I've been wanting to read some Xander/Spike slash, but I can't find any good archives for them with well-written stories. I love fics where my favourite character, in this case, Spike, is all angsty and possibly suicidal. I can't help but love the hurt/comfort fics. So the other character would help him, in this case, Xander. I got the incling for it when I watched a re-run of Buffy where Xander was talking to Dawn and telling her how he knows how it feels to be the non-special one and that he sees and knows more than he lets on.
So far, I have a fairly big list of bookmarks for future reads, I've been stocking up for school -_-

I have the following anime: Kizuna, Wolf Rain, Scry-ed, Zetsuai & Bronze (and the music videos to the series, Cathexis, although, there's no subtitles unfortunately), Haru wa Daiteita (I wish I could find Winter Cacada, the movie 'sequel' to this anime), Yami no Matsuei, Candidate for Goddess, Tactics, Earthian, FF7 Advent Children, Sensitive Pornograph (uncensored!), Loveless, Gravitation, Fish in the Trap, Song of Wind and Trees (or, Kaze to ki no uta), Legend of the Four Horsemen, Prince of Tennis (1-15), KaiKan Phrase (still trying to download this one, it's not working on aarinfantasy), Kyou Kara Maou (1-51), Evangelion, Our Road of no Return, and lastly, Seikimatsu Darling (still trying to download it).
I still have a ton more to download. I'd love to download Silver Chaos 1 and 2, but there are no trackers for it.
