Please, does someone know the title or author of this novel?

I read this romance novel a number of years ago (aprox 4 or 3 years ago). I remember it having a blue cover and perhaps a rose or sword on the cover.

A woman's brother dies in combat. Her brother had told his best friend to take care of his sister if anything should happen to him because their father beats his sister (with a whip, and with verbal abuse).

The woman is very strong and independent, unusual in romance novels, which is what makes this novel so fantastic.

The man is blind, but no one but his man servant knows it (his man servant is a chatter box, but in his words, he describes what their surroundings are like, so the blind man can easily step over debris or up a flight of stairs without anything looking amiss).

The father happily marries his daughter off to this man since they're in need of money and he's a money-grabbing asshole. The blind man is rather intimidating looking.

The woman eventually finds out that he is blind when he almost steps on a girl praying in the church (she's bent over, forehead to the ground - he of course doesn't see her or know she's there). She pretends she doesn't know to save him his pride until later when the truth comes out.

I remember another scene where the woman tries to make him happy by organizing his chambers, which he gets *really* angry about because he trips over everything because he doesn't know where anything is.

On their wedding night, he tells her to make noises and scream. I think he bites his finger or something to put blood on the sheets so the servants can gossip about it and everyone can believe that they've had sex.

Please, does this book sound familiar to anyone? I hate being able to remember all these little details, but not the title or author.
