Say it ain't so, C.C.!

I was somewhat stunned by the latest Starfighter page. The starbase seemed to have little difficulty blowing away the enemy (Colterons -- so happy to at least have a name now) in the first chapter. So the blockade is successful if the balance of power doesn't shift, but it appears there is little or no diplomatic work to resolve the conflict. I'd ( Read more... )

Lollypine, admit it, you have a direct line into Hamlet's mind or something! Page 44 is the second case where you've called something in your fanfic before it happens on the comic! It's pretty awesome :D

I wish! Hahaaa... and I wish I could draw like Hamletmachine also. I think we are both just big fans of scifi in general. Oh Praxis, I'm so worried about him right now. I don't believe Hamlet is going to give him an eye implant, and it looks from the last panel that he truly has no depth perception. Cain is totally lining up the sucker punch to the man's blind side.

I can't wait to see the fall out of Abel volunteering to go into Colteron space.

Yes Oh Yes! Homoerotic brawling at its best. I'm rethinking my last comment and maybe there is something special under the eye-patch, or maybe Praxis has crazy Jedi powers. Damn, he takes a knee to the nuts and just keeps on fighting like a boss.

And that last panel. OMG! I love the intense stare. Of course I wouldn't put it past Cain to attempt a headbutt to Praxis' nose. I want to do a funny caption for this panel and have Praxis yelling something like, "Cain! I don't care about Abel. It's you. I love you, you psychopathic bastard!" ;P It's hot that Praxis is taller than Cain.

I still think it's going to be so funny when they find out what Abel has done.

What do you think, My Dear?

Hahaha, your reactions are far superior to mine! All I had to say was that I'm getting seriously scared Cain might actually off Praxis, and that Praxis' bum looks very lovely and shapely in that kneeing-in-the nuts scene! XD

The fight looks far deadlier than I expected, fighters, they don't really take it half-assed, do they, and seriously, the strangling-each-other-over-the-bottomless-chasm bit makes me whimper, but god, I love all of it in its entity for the exact reminder that these are fighters we're dealing with! I agree Praxis makes his home town proud and he does look very good in his at-least-three-inches over Cain height!

And I vote in favour of your motion to end the fight with promises of eternal love and thumbing tears off eachothers' cheeks! Hehehe..

Haha, once again I have to congratulate you on your precognitive talents! I actually went OHCOMEON when I saw the page :D I would have never predicted the conflict would play out in this exact way in the comic!

(I didn't even predict Abel's 'ownership' would become a source of conflict in the comic)

I know what you mean! After Deimos tattled, I kind of expected Cain to look for Abel and then be confronted by the news that Abel had volunteered. Now I'm just hoping Praxis does not get pushed off the bridge. I'd hate to lose him like that.

Don't you even say such things :O The worst thing is, I can almost see it happening, we haven't had an epic death scene on the comic yet, and someone plummeting through air would make for some epic panels! (Now who's sharing disturbing mental imagery :F)

Hamlet wouldn't do that to us though, would she - first off, that would be killing an innocent positive character, and also, it would make some irreversible statements about Cain's character, killing someone off like that. The comic has been keeping us uncertain about Cain's character, but I still see him as someone who makes the right ethic decisions in the end.

I'm not so sure. Until we find out what Cain is up to by reporting to Commander Bering, we just don't know what he might be capable of doing to carry out his assigned mission. Hey! maybe it could be something like in my crazy fanfic and he is testing Praxis' resolve to stand up for Abel. Cain did ask "why do you give a shit anyways?" Praxis could have answered "Because you're trying to kick the shit out of me for no good reason!"

Now I wish I could draw a funny cartoon of when Cain's attempt to discourage Praxis backfires. Praxis: "Abel's a slut? A desperate, begging slut?" He tramples Cain while heading for the door. "I'm on my way, Abel!" 8D

Hahaha! Dude, spoiler alert, you haven't actually explained Cain's motives for being such a dick in the fic yet!:D No harm done tho', I kinda suspected it might be something like that!

eehee! Well I meant in a very general way in that Cain sets up a weird arbitrary rule for everyone. Some one breaks that rule and Cain needs to test them to see what Abel really means to the rule breaker. Maybe whatever mission Bering and Cook are setting up with Cain needs more than one fighter/nav pair or more than one fighter.

Anyways, I'm grasping at straws. April was way too busy for me. I have the next chapter ready for 30kisses but it needs to be edited and I just couldn't seem to find the time or focus last month. It won't be much longer now.
