Yes, we're still in the middle of incredibly heavy prep for Pandoracon at the end of this month, but we need to at least have a clue what we're doing after that. So we're not asking you to start rehearsing - just to let us know if you can and are interested in being part of
The Confused Greenies at
JapanCASE's Fall Anime Marathon - now also known as CaseCon - held on the Case Western Reserve University campus on the weekend of November 3 & 4!
We are looking to do another anime parody. Unlike prior semesters, we aren't going to do a straight mash-up of the four series the club is watching, but instead use our growing cast of Neo-Nippon 3 stock characters to build a show that's inspired by those series but capable of standing on its own - and thus being able to be performed at later events and off campus. Chances are this will be somewhat naughty, like
Magical Bishōjo Scout Shibari-chan's Naughty Knotty Problem Special DELUXE!, but anything goes at this point. But it's very difficult to even start to plot it out without knowing how much of a cast we'll have.
As is our tradition, we'd like to do another round of
Mad Words: the Art of Kyōgen. These are a series of shorts based on or originals inspired by classic Japanese farce. It's heavily updated for our dev / improv style and for an otaku audience. What plays we do and our cast for this is very flexible but we still can use as many as possible so no one has to do too much.
Please let us know! We're going to need outside help for this, from Columbus and everywhere else our Players of Patchwork reside! Please consider coming, please let us know, and please feel free to discuss!
