A smile curled up at the corner of her lips reading the note. Her fingers trailing over the words on the paper, letting a contently pleased sound escape her over it all. She always loved this about Arthur. The simple fact that he could always surprise her, sending butterflies all throughout her system, with honestly just the simplest of things as a note. The moment the door opened, his eyes were on her. Watching that petite form with the slight bulge of stomach. A bulge that meant their child. He couldn't help the smile that curved his lips. A baby, barely four months along, growing and swimming and theirs.

Pushing away from the wall, holding his hands out to her. "Not a charmer, Ariadne. Just a man very much in love. A man that has a chance at a life we both want," he murmured, taking her hands. "How are you feeling, Sweetheart?"

"Perfectly fine." She said beaming as she took his hands, gently squeezing them as she did. "Oddly enough. I'm hungry."

Her head tilting to the side as she looked past him towards the blanket, letting a sly smile spread across her face. "So this is what you've been up to?"

"Good. I didn't bring up actual food but there's tons of finger foods. Maybe too much but then you won't have to worry about cooking over the next few days," he noted, always trying to think ahead for her.

"I wanted you to know how much I care about you, and not just because of the baby," he admitted, drawing her towards the blanket. "I love you."
