Today was klutzy day! Did a whole host of silly, clumsy things:
1) spilt my drink as I turned around, poor jemi and joel were sprinkled liberally with ribena
2) kicked poor benjy as i stood up to get the keys for the freezer from my bag
3) tripped on the plastic bag as I was returning to the canteen with the keys
4) repelled the soup which dripped from the spoon and splashed onto my face anyway.
5) Caused numerous things to drop from my desk
6) Caused Zhiyu's pencilcase to fall off her desk as well.
Such an impossible klutz... argh... At least it's not as funny as Alice's CO friend who skidded on the skirt for the NYCO costume (the light blue blouse with black skirt) and slid down the whole flight of the LT stairs. Apparently she raised her erhu high up in the air to avoid damaging it and the sight must have been hillarious. Yanny broke into a full blown laughing gas attack just envisioning it. Ultimate unglam!
But anyway getting down to the rest of my day:
The good: It was my early day, we end lessons at 1.30 on thursday. Even better, Mrs Ng let us off 10 minutes early.
The good: We had lit with ms lim today. It was really really hillarious. Examined Blake's 'Holy Thursday' (innocence and experience versions) one of which had a few lines that went 'can this ___ cry be song? Can it be a song of joy?' Edmund, xun and Ms Lim were really tickled by it, commenting on how it would make a good critque for a singing competition. Xun suggested leaving the more retarded Blacke quotes on feedback boards and everywhere. Like 'Hawheeheehaw - blake' (apparently it came from one of the poems). O_o But anyway the poems were actually much darker in content and touched on poverty and false charity which made me think more. Wasn't good at analysing the poems and had to rely on Ms Lim for most of the answers to her own questions. Sigh.
The bad: Got back my GP paper. A miserable 31 (32 -1 for not writing the qn no.) because I couldn't answer directly to the question. My point's there, but the topic sentence is not clear enough and am not able to evaluate fully the extent. The same stupid mistake I make for each test... :( I had better do a whole lot better on the compre paper or i'm quite screwed. Seems my English is going down teh drain to join my Chinese. :( :(
The good/bad: S Paper has been shifted to thursday. One of my only early days too... Now I'll be let off early and at least get to go home to rest (at least that's better) but have to return to school by 5.30 for 2 hours or so of Chem S lessons. It provides some respite over the weekend (when I'm ususally busy) though I'd rather Chem S be on Monday so I get the sucky stuff over and done with and the rest of the week gets progressively more pleasant (wed, thursday early days and fri the is fairly light too). >_<
The good: We had Mrs Tan for Chem S today. Always thought she was the stern unpleasant sort from PW, but she turns out to be really, really nice and a great lecturer who actually EXPLAINS what is going on in the questions. 大ショック!She has officially joined my list of good Chem S teachers including Mr Pang and Mrs Chan. Turns out those that seem the nastiest can actually be v nice Chem SA lecturers: case in point, Holy. Unforch the question Mrs Tan said that if one couldn't do, one does not deserve to be in Chem S was something I couldn't do. Waaah! >_<;
Helped Ernest with Maths today. It was some Paradox thing and I was freaking out. That's pretty tough stuff. No wonder he screams all the time. I probably cried much more in primary school, and my maths was waaaay easier. Poor kids nowadays.
Recap of yesterday since I spent too much time on writing the Boukenger fic and had no time to write a proper entry. Yesterday marked the last day of ice cream sales. Yes, we have been selling Island creamery ice cream since monday. Sales weren't great, we only made about $600 profit, but we should thank God for every bit of profit that he has gifted us with. Guess we might have been too generous with the scoops yesterday resulting in a much smaller profit margin. We ran out of cups all the same though,and I had to purchase more from the drinks stall uncle. he was really kind, giving us 10 for 30 cents. At the end I just needed 1 cup and was ready to pay 10 cents but he gave it to us for free. The uncle's a real nice guy even if he can be grumpy at times. It was quite sad though, we had 2 or so cups of horlicks ice cream left at the end and I was desperately trying to sell it off. Resorted to allowing samples from the scraps on ice-cream tray. Luckily , PengSin bought the second one off (haha my oac juniors rock) and some random kind soul bought the last one (even though he was quite hillarious and wanted to scoop all the scraps off the ice cream tray). There was also a real funny incident when I shouted out that we allowed sampling, and some girl turned as she was going up the stairs and almost slipped and fell. I was really tickled by it and kept laughing. She heard me and was probably quite embarrassed (making me feel bad) but I couldn't quite stop laughing and Qiangie probably thought I was mad. At least the whole thing is over and it's a real relief to get it off my back. Stanley suddenly needing the trays and popping up in school gave me quite a fright though, we were frantically trying to rinse the trays to get rid of the dairy smell. He said he would wash them on his own anyway so it didn't really matter.
Tuesday recap: We had bio prac, dissection of the heart and kidney. It was quite fun to try to see all the details. The scapels were too blunt thus we had to use the scissors which made the operation a lot trickier. Couldn't get a smooth cut across, sides were all serrated. But I managed to avoid cutting the valves for which I was very much proud of myself. Probably did it with too much relish though and Chunfong kept saying that I was crazy. Well, it was really interesting. Didn't smell the stink that Grace said was so bad she had to bury her nose in her shirt. Maybe this might make me reconsider medicine as my uni course. Still can't decide.
Anyway, am really tired now. Need to catch up on sleep cos I've been on the verge of falling asleep in lectures for the past few days. それで、また。 お休みなさい~!
P.s. preview for next entry: hopefully finally my first boukenger ep review (since the other one got wiped by !bakalivejournal) and a boukenger ficlet and catching up on class chalet stuff and shout your fame.... Oh what a busy little girl I am....
