“Sexy Female Alien” (1/1)
by Lisa Michelle

Daniel sat at his desk typing up a mission report. He looked
up when Vala walked into his office.

She walked over to his desk, pushed some papers aside before
sitting down on its edge facing him. “Do you like The X-Files,
Daniel?” she asked.

“I haven’t really seen much of it,” he replied and returned to
his work.

Vala pushed herself back a few inches and crossed her legs.
“Well, I’ve been watching reruns of it and love it. I haven’t
seen nearly all of the episodes,” she said. “You know it was on
TV for nine years.”

Daniel continued his typing. “That’s nice.”

“You know, you remind me of Mulder. Always searching for
the truth,” she commented.

He ceased typing for a few seconds. “I thought they were searching
for aliens.”

“Well, they were and they did find some. Not a sexy female alien
like me, but other types,” she informed him. “They also ran into a
lot of creepy things like a guy who killed women and cut off their
fingernails and hair.”

He turned to her. “Do you have a point?”

“Yes. There was an X-Files movie. I haven’t seen it,” she said.

“That’s too bad,” he replied.

“There are places on the Internet where you can rent movies, but
you need a credit card.”

Daniel stopped typing, sat back in the chair and crossed his
arms over his chest. “And that’s where I come in, right?”

Vala twirled a strand of hair around her finger. “You’ve changed
your hiding place. I can’t find it.”

“It’s in my pants,” Daniel said smugly.

Vala leaned in closer to him. “Just say the word and I’m there,
darling.”

Daniel smiled. “Nice try,” he said, returning to his typing.
“Perhaps we could watch it on the next movie night. I’m sure Teal’c
hasn’t seen it,” he suggested.

“I’m sure he hasn’t, but I was thinking about a more private
party.”

He stopped typing. “Vala, if this is about sex -“

“It’s not.” She raised her right hand. “I swear.”

“I suppose you want to see this movie at my apartment,” he
concluded.

“Well, I don’t have a DVD player and I’ve wanted to see where
you live,” she said.

He picked up a piece of paper by his keyboard and looked at
it. “I’m sure you do.”

“You haven’t seen The X-Files movie, have you?” she asked.

“No.”

“How many episodes of the show have you seen?”

“I don’t know. I’ve seen a few reruns over the years,” he replied
and set the paper down. “But I’ve been a little busy helping to save
the planet.”

“Right. Whatever,” she said. “Go on the Internet right now to
get the movie.” She pointed to the monitor.

“I’m a little busy right now, Vala.”

“Did you see the one when they went to the town full of
vampires?” she asked.

“No.”

“How about the one where Mulder and Scully pretended to be
a married couple and -“

“No.”

“What about the one with all the cockroaches?”

“Vala -“

“You really need to start watching, Daniel. I can show you a
few websites that have summaries and -“

He looked at her. “I don’t want to see any websites right now.
I want to do my work.”

She shrugged. “Oh, well, why didn’t you say so in the first
place?”

Daniel sighed and put his head down on the desk.

Vala picked up a piece of paper on his desk. “Do you always
sign your name like this?”

Daniel sat up and grabbed the paper out of her hand.

“So, when can we see the movie?” she asked.

“I’ll have to get back to you on that.” He moved the stack of
papers out of her reach.

“Okay.” She sighed. “I guess I’ll just have to continue watching
the reruns when I don’t know what happened in the movie.”

“I think you’ll survive.”

Vala tossed her hair back. “You know we’re kind of like Mulder
and Scully. We work for a government agency, investigate and
see things no one would believe.”

Daniel mulled that over a minute. “You’re right.”

She slid off the desk and walked around to the front of it, resting
her hands on the edge. “Of course I am, darling.” She leaned in close
to the monitor and Daniel. “Oh, and all that sexual tension between
Mulder and Scully. That’s just like us, too.” She winked at him.

Daniel didn’t say anything and returned to his typing.

“I hope Mulder and Scully end up together,” she called out
as she left his office.
