Boat Bash and beyond

May 27, 2004 23:21

So I went to Boat Bash tonight in hopes of having fun on a big boat with a bunch of friends. Not to insult anyone that was there (I did have fun) but it was way too much of an event for "the popular people". A lot of my friends didn't go just because they didn't know anyone else that was going or they didn't have the money to spare. Maybe I should have listened to their reasoning but I just figured it would have been more fun somehow. It just reminded me that I will never be one of "the popular people" and I am very okay with that, I just wish I would have known what I was paying for when I bought my ticket. The food was okay the music/band kind of sucked, there was really nothing worth $40 about the whole evening. Except it was nice scenery and boats are cool.

The upcoming weeks should be great with my birthday party, 4-day weekend, graduation, all good things. I think when summer comes I will throw my own Boat Bash but instead it will be just good friends, a picnic lunch, and canoes! And it will be at bodies of water that do not have sewage dumped them like the Mississippi River does. (Can you believe people were fishing in there! Don't they know that fish are what they eat and if they eat those fish....ick!)Mine will definitely be better. I declare that there will be swimming as well. A free, fun-filled occasion for all!
