so i very much recommend the book Wither, the first in The Chemical Garden Trilogy. the characters are interesting, and the concept is terrifying and cool all at the same time. if you want not a fluffy read, this is a good choice

on the fluffy list: Babe in Boyland by Gehrman, Timeless by Monir (sorta...it doesn't 100% fit, but fits less in the other category), The Ghost and the Goth by Kade, Alex Finn's Cloaked, and the Tales of the Frog Princess series by E.D. Baker (hell, her book Wide-Awake Princess too!)
and in the kick-ass list: Carriger's The Parasol Protectorate series. starts with Soulless. READ IT.
