I skipped all my classes and watched five episodes of West Wing today. I am very glad I did so.

In other news,

Hardback or trade paperback or mass market paperback?: Paperback. I am poor and have no money for hardcovers.
Amazon or brick and mortar?: Bzuh? You mean online or real store? Definitely real store, unless I'm looking for something weird and out of stock.
Barnes & Noble or Borders?: Dude, Borders. 'Cause hey, employee discount.
Bookmark or dog-ear?: Sigh, I hate that I dog-ear, but I do. I need those little sticky flags...
Alphabetize by author or alphabetize by title or random?: Author, then title. My books are not organized now, but they will be after I move.
Keep, throw away, or sell?: Keep. Unless it sucked or I have multiples, then sell.
Keep dust jacket or toss it?: Again with the not buying hardbacks. But, keep?
Read with dust jacket or remove it?: Read with it. Makes a handy bookmark.
Short story or novel?: Why do I have to pick one?
Harry Potter or Lemony Snicket?: Harry Potter. Haven't read Lemony Snicket and am not very interested in doing so.
Stop reading when tired or at chapter breaks?: Chapter breaks, except with pesky authors like Terry Pratchett who don't believe in them.
"It was a dark and stormy night" or "Once upon a time"?: Neither?
Buy or borrow?: Hmmm. Buy, usually, but I have definitely been exercising the employee loan program at Borders.
New or used?: As long as it's not written in, I don't care.
Buying choice: book reviews, recommendations, or browse?: Recommendations and browsing.
Tidy ending or cliffhanger?: Um, I'm okay with either, though I do love it when a bunch of disparate plot threads all come together really well at the end.
Morning reading, afternoon reading, or nighttime reading?: Um, any of the above. I always read at least a few pages after getting into bed though.
Stand-alone or series?: Either, though series are very exciting.
Favorite series?: Wicked and Son of a Witch, if that counts as a series. Or Diane Duane's So You Want to Be a Wizard series, or Libba Bray's Killer Angels, or Garth Nix's Abhorsen Trilogy.
Favorite children's book?: The Witches and Matilda by Roal Dahl, The Giver by Lois Lowry, and Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne.
Favorite YA book?: Uh. See above re: series.
Favorite book of which nobody else has heard?: Broken Verses by Kamila Shamsie.
Favorite books read last year?: I have no idea what I read last year. Uh. Why does it feel like nothing? Ooh! The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
Favorite books of all time?: The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, Wicked by Gregory Maguire, and Doctor Faustus by Thomas Mann.
Least favorite book you finished last year?: Um. If I don't like them, I tend to get distracted in the middle.
What are you reading right now?: Just finished Ruth Reichl's Garlic and Sapphires.
What are you reading next?: The Invention of Hugo Cabret by someone, or maybe a new one I saw tonight at work.
Favorite book to recommend to an eleven-year-old?: The Giver, for sure.
Favorite book to reread?: Hmmm. Probably Wicked.
Do you ever smell books?: Sure!
Do you ever read Primary source documents?: Yeah, why not, if they're in a language I know.

And wow, no one needed to know all that.
