Bees are cool.

So, the "Good Deeds" theme response isn't happening this week. Hopefully early next week. Right now I have to write about bees. Yes, bees. Don't badmouth bees. Bees are awesome. Goddamn are bees awesome.

...It's for school. ...But I chose the topic! You'd think someone who admittedly hates and fears bugs wouldn't like bees so much. It's all thanks ( Read more... )

slayers, bees

There are ways around, if you've got a good plot idea. Rezo seems to have had more than one laboratory, with some very advanced things (like cloning). Also, the outer world continent in Slayers Try had less magic and more technology. (Remember Jilias' tank?). There must have been doctors of some kind there . . .

Yeah... I thought about that. Plus Filia probably has a few techniques only known to the golden dragons. I might justify since I'm thinking I'd only include it as a tidbit...

Hold up a second. You're telling me there are people who *don't* think bees are awesome?!

Yeah, you'll say bees are awesome...right up until they start stingin' ye. I got stung ONCE by ONE bee years ago, and it hurt like hell ( ... )

Awww, but they don't want to sting you. After all, stinging kills them! Not like those meanspirited wasps...

Yeah, I suppose I can justify a lot. I'm just not sure if it's worth it for a passing anecdote. We'll see...

I don't know... I always assumed Zel's gun scene didn't have a lot of thought in it beyond the desire to make him look badass :P

*salutes* I'll do my best to make it a good update!

Are you sure it was a bee, not a wasp?

A bee's sting is attached to her body in such a way that stinging somebody eviscerates her and kills her very painfully. Because of that, bees only sting people when they feel very threatened (for example, when somebody is standing very close to their hive, or when somebody freaks out and runs screaming and flailing). It's very weird that a bee would just randomly sting a person unprovoked... When I was a girl-scout there were many bees at the camp, and I was never stung once.

Ye have a point there. I was nine, so my guess was probably off. That, and the goddamn sting on my forearm.

Ever since the incident, I've been hoping to find two things to use on each other: A bee-hive, and a USAS-12 Full-Auto Shotgun(yeah, I was obsessed with guns even back then). Stinkin' bugs.

It's Friday..that means 1 more day until an ALO update. Woot!

I've never been a big fan of insects period, even bees. Although I think bees are better behaved than wasps..wasps are vicious. Bees are pretty cool from the societal organization side of things.

On the matter of the Slayers world and blood transfusions....you can pretty much do whtever you want, obviously, since the shows themselves are kinda anachronistic in some matters. Hovever, I wouldn't do blood tranfusions unless you really get something story wise out of it...it's just really outisde the real of fantasy really. If it's just for a joke..I wouldn't bother honestly.

Yep! Still trying to get back into the swing of things with my busy life!

I used to feel the same way, but then I read about bees and they're just... amazing.

Yeah, I'm thinking right now that it might not be worth doing since it's not actually the point of the story.

tummy ache?

maybe it's time for the Pepto-Bismal song: "Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea!" Now, cue the dance...
