Trying to be productive today. I'm working on getting all of my clearances together for the after school job. It's a pain- it's like $50 to do these things. Which sucks, because if you're trying to get a job (which is one of the things people need these for), you want more money, right? And dumping out money on clearances just sucks. Oh well. I also colored my hair, have done laundry, and gotten the grocery list ready. I want to send the kids outside, but it is ridiculously hot and humid, and I can't even blame them for resisting.

Went for a run yesterday. I had to do my distance run, so it was 18 miles. Thing is, it was hot and really, really humid. I was dragging so badly at the end. And I didn't have water to spare to dump it over myself. I was soaked, though. I ran in one of my skirts, and not only were the shorts soaked, but the shirt itself. It was disgusting, and it took me over four hours. Usually my 20 miler takes me 4 hours. I think I'm also a bit out of shape- I haven't been running midweek as much as I should- but still. But my midweek running will pick up, and I still have almost 2 months until the MCM. But I felt really miserable afterwards- just "why the hell do I even do this especially since I suck so much" miserable.

I do want to do one more race this fall. I'm debating between the Hands On House half marathon out in Lancaster, or the Sloppy Cuckoo in Philly. (afrakaday, are you doing it? Because that could be my deciding factor.) I don't have a lot of weekends to choose from- hubby's rides have picked up, Scouts and soccer are picking up, and I also have to watch the weekends around the races I'm already registered for you. (Still disappointed I can't do Hershey this year. Although now it's sold out anyway.) The thing about the Sloppy Cuckoo is they have a Triple option, where you can do the half, then go back out and do the 10K, and then go back out and do the 5K. Which, when training for a marathon, makes a long distance run much more fun. I'm trying to get up to a 24 mile distance run before MCM, I think, but we'll see.

School starts Thursday. FINALLY. A whole host of Facebook kids went back last week, with tons of back to school pictures, and more went back today. I have to keep checking my school's site to make sure they didn't secretly change the date or I didn't misread it. I love my kids, but I am ready to send them back to school. SO ready. Not helped by the fact that we finally sort of updated our gaming system (we have a PS3 now), and they have Minecraft. EVERYTHING is Minecraft now, and I am ready to SCREAM.

I feel like I should have more important stuff to say, but I don't. Hope everyone is having a good day!
